Thank you, Martine, for sharing this beautiful butterfly. I'm so glad someone found it and brought to the top of the list - I missed it last year. It's a lovely neat elegant design with many applications and a good size to begin cutwork.

Martine, thank you for the wonderfull butterfly. You make great progress, your digitization work is getting better and more beautiful. I congratulate, Hilde
Martine, Thank you for this pretty design AND the instructions. It sounds easier than I thought - I love applique and it sounds as if this cutwork and applique has something in common. Sure I am going to like it!
They have - and digitising it is exactly the same - you just cut out the inside instead of cutting back the outside of the applied material. Try it and you'll be pleasantly surprised how easy it is (provided you have a good pair of sharp scissors).
Thanks Martine I visualize some crisp pillow slips with floral design along with the cutwork butterflies. Just like grandmother use to do all by hand. *
I just love cutwork. Looking forward to trying out your lovely butterfly. Thank you.
Beautiful cutwork butterfly - thank you for sharing your wonderful design.

Beautiful design and thank you for sharing!
The actual measurement is 3.09 x 2.85 inches.
The dimensions listed say .28 x .28 inches though.
The actual size is a more manageable size to work with.
Again, thank you for your cutwork gift to us!
Very pretty butterfly....I thinks this will be my first cutwork to try.....thanks so much.
Thank you for this beautiful design. Never did cutwork before. I love butterflies. Looking forward to try it.
looks very tempting. Sukiray
May I suggest something. When you are doing your cutwork. if you do a double stitch around the area where you will be cutting out first then cut out the fabric from that section. Then you can do the richelieu bars and finally the satin edging. you will get a very clean look, once you rinse out the sabilizer. You must use water solible when doing it this way.
Hugs, Patty
That's exactly how such designs are digitised. Colour #1 is the treble stitch along the areas to cut out. Make sure you don't cut the stabiliser! Then colour#2 starts with the richelieu bars and continues to stitch the rest.

Thank you so much for sharing this!
I never did cutwork but this is a must to trie!
Martine thank you so much for this cutwork butterflu, that is one of the things on my to do list.
Martine - your butterfly is beautiful, and you did a such a great job digitizing it. May I ask, which software did you use (3D or Embird, or something else)? Thanks so much for sharing with us.
I use 3D for cross stitch, 3D Sketch and 3D editor and a few other things. For digitising I mainly use Embird, I love the ease of making connecting stitches and reversing stitch order it offers.
Thank you so much Mops, this is the kind op design we do not often see. I am realy wanting to try cutwork. It is beautifull
HI Mops I am so excited you shared your cutwork with us. I love doing cutwork and there is not a lot of it out there to choose from. Very nice work!!! Thank you so much! I can't wait to use it. Suzanne
