Can you give a link so I can look at the designs too?
Rather use
http://design.tavernmaker.de
please.
(I'm always repeating myself here, but the "long" link might brake, as it is the "physical" link of our homepage. The short "domain" link is a pointer to the proper physical place. And it's easier to remember as well. Unfortunetely, once you are at the page and press "bookmark", it will copy the long, ugly one....)
What made me click on it was the "create your own". I thought it might be a program. Anyway was just curious. Once I realized I had no need to have something customized I left the page. I do love your designs and I am guilty of never having left a comment.
I always like to leave a comment, the designs are gorgeous, and i think it is right to thank not only the link finders but the owners of the sites for their generosity, again all your designs are perfect. Thank you
I am also guilty, and never noticed a comment part. The designs are just wonderful to look at but although I have had embroidery machines for many years, have never tried any FSL. I owned a Craft Store until about 7 yrs. ago but never had anyone even ask for FSL, so I just never got involved with it. I did embroidery by order with a few samples always in the store if anyone wanted to purchase them. Most of my embroidery business was people wanting to personalize their own personal items that they already had. I also did wood-work, painted on just about any medium that the customer wanted painted including clothes and house items, and I had 20 crafters wares on consignment. I carried very little supplies but had some for regular customers.
I was sent a FSL angel by one of the group owners at Yahoo when we had some very tragic things happen in our family a couple of yrs ago and I adored the pattern. I ran across the pattern of said Angel a while back and it was a free design on Misty Mountain Group owned by Susan Jacobi. That is when I decided I wanted to learn how to do the FSL. I am not well and I spend more time on the computer than on my crafts now. Your site has been brought up many times here on Cute and I have finally decided it is time for me to at least try. I have downloaded several of your designs with good intentions of trying them but so far I have still not tried FSL. Several members of this group do such wonderful work with the lace that I have finally decided to try. I actually had never been to your site until I joined Cute Embroidery. Your work is outstanding and I do appreciate you sharing with all of us ...even if I never get to the point of trying to sew it. I am always amazed when I visit your site. lflanders
I wish you all the best look with your first FSL!
From our experience: non-woven water soluble fabric works better than foil. Stitch SLOWLY. Maybe use more than one sheet (we use two). For our designs use the thinnest possible needle and thin thread. (We use 75 size needle, prefer the Schmetz Titanium (Gold) needles and use no-name thin thread.) When rinsing: Do NOT wash out completely, just enough to dissolve the fabric. Let dry & iron.
I was so eager to download designs that I missed the comments part! I've just stitched out two of the autumn leaves and am waiting for them to dry. Slightly delayed by having to convert to JEF!
Not an oops, only just found your site through this comment and I did download one design and leave a comment. I will be back soon.
I would have to say I am guilty of #1 clicking and finding a wrong turn LOL I hve not stitched the designs from your site but still would like to thank you.
oops guilty here also. I didnt see the comment either. Was to happy about the designs. As you know I put bookmarks in projects yesterday. I loved your site. Will be back on a regular basis. Thanks so much.
I am also guilty. I never saw the comment place at the end of the page. I have sewn out some of your bookmarks and love them. The people I give them too also love them.
I'm a guilty party. I didn't realize you had a comment section, but after visiting again, I noticed that it is at the bottom of your page. I haven't stitched out the Bookmarks yet, so can't make a comment except Thank you. I apologize if this offended you, it wasn't intentional. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Blessings,Terre
It's okay. I wasn't bothered about people using our designs and not giving feedback (Although we of course do love feedback!),
but was rather wondering about the mis-balance of people looking at the "custom crochet" page compared to other sub-pages.
