The week of my grandson's wedding, my daughter had tests to see why she was losing her sense of smell and taste. The Cat scan that she had showed that she had 2 tumors deep within her brain. On the Monday following the wedding the news given to her was not very good. We have gone through many more tests, and doctors, but today the surgeon spoke to her after reviewing her test results and told her that these were fluid filled cysts that she has probably had since before she was born, and that though unusual they are nothing to worry about. These are located in the hippocampus portion of the brain - yes, I had to research that, and only got more confused. But, my girls is a fighter. She is 8 years cancer free after losing a lung to cancer when she was young enough that she shouldn't even have been stricken with it. She was hit from the back by a motorcycle while she was out jogging, and many more really freaky things. But, as of this coming Monday, she is back into school with a career change after she lost her job last December. Thank you God for making this be to the positive. Hugs to you all.

I am so glad to hear that there is such a good report back on all of this for your dear daughter - I know how worried you have been and I am sure she is very relieved to get this information from the surgeon. She will hit those books and get on with her life now - as you said she is strong and a trooper for sure. What a great outcome for you all - another set of prayers answered. AMEN!

Great news; God is SO good!
But, what about the loss of smell and taste -- can they do anything to help that?
Blessings,
Diane

That was a result of a serious ear infection that they can not get to clear. She has been on steroids for about a month, and of course that has made her gain a little weight, which is about to freak her out. She is starting to get her sense of taste back a little, so maybe she can get off of it soon. This girl gained 87 pounds after the lung surgery because of steroids, and has lost about 93, or had. She can do this!

I have always said God has a reason for everything. We may not understand, but He is in control. One day we will know why . We serve an Awsome God!! Bless you for recognizing His hand in this. I wish for your daughter the very best./Lillian
