Oh WOW, lucky YOU!!! There's only one small fabric stores close by for me to shop at. And they do not carry emb. supplies at all. Do you have a Husqvarna Viking machine? I have the Designer SE LE.

Our Joann's is fairly large. They rent space to an embroidery company too though I haven't paid much attention to the brand of machines, just know the one I was looking at was over $2000, my $379 one from Walmart was a bit hard on the budget and since it is basically just for my own clothing and not to sell anything it is as good as it is going to get. There aren't many other places here other than Walmart to get fabric. We even lost our Michael's craft store. Have a Pat Catan's still.

We have a new Mega JoAnn's Opened last Dec in San Antonio. But it's too big to walk (at least for me)in one trip.
Thank goodness we have 7th Heaven quilt shop, Creative Sewing and the General Store, all local quilt shops that have been here over 20 years.Then just a few miles away There are 3 more little shops in the 3 small towns close by.Our Hus dealer is also close by for classes (no fabric). Little towns like Boerne, New Braunfles, Seguin, Converse are all less than 20 miles from me so they have TONS of fabric. When in Texas check them out.Also a quilt stand maker is close by less than 5 miles.Walmart closed the fabric section in all our local stores. But I tend to stay away due to the huge size of the stores. When I need something it's always at the other end and I can't walk all the way across the store.

A new one just opened in Florence, AL. Haven't been yet. It looks very large so it may be one of the mega Joann's Fabric. Now we have a lot to choose from with Joann's, Hobby Lobby, a nice quilt shop, Hancock's and Walmart. Our Walmart is one of the very few still carrying fabric & sewing machines.

What State are you referring to? I have yet to visit a New Mega Joann's Fabric store.

Columbia, SC. They just opened a new one down Two Notch...It is huge ;D *2U

I love Super Joanns. Just to go in and look around. There isn't one in North Dakota. Another store I want to visit when I go home to Florida for a visit. I refuse to shop in Walmart because of all the good stores they have put out of business. All Walmart is interested in is becoming the 1 and only store to shop in. Then what happens to prices. Their quality is already gone.

I notice Walmart doesn't carry a lot of stuff they use too. It was nice and cold in the new Joanns. I am glad I had somewhere to hang out while I waited for a call to pick up some important documents ;D *2U

glad you have a new Joann's. our Joann's keep disappearing! walmart has abandoned this area as far as fabric & sewing after they put all the locals out of business....i don't shop there anymore for anything!!

Actually the store is about an hour away from me but I do try to treat myself once a month to a "ME" outing ;D *2U

Our Joanne here also has Husquvana machines but they only rent the space at Joannes. All stabilizers and the like is being sold by them but they do not accept Joanne's coupons :(

OK, wow, that was the first one I saw set up that way. Didn't know they rented the space. I almost sat in one of those seats to inquire but I know that would lead to trouble...LOL so I admired it from a distance...LOL ;D *2U

Well, we hope you had fun. It's nice seeing the new things, even if we have to window shop.
