LUCY, BLESS YOUR HEART, JUST TAKE A DAY AT A TIME AND YOU WILL FIND A PLACE OR THE THINGS YOU REALLY USE. I KNOW ONE DAY MY DH AND I WILL HAVE TO DO THE SAME THING. I TRY TO GET RID OF THINGS THAT I REALLY DON'T USE BUT SOMETIMES IT IS HARD. I GUESS WE ALL NEED TO SEPRATE THE "MAYBE PILE" FROM THE "NEED PILE" AND GIVE THE "MAYBE PILE" TO SOMEONE THAT REALLY COULD USE IT. WE TRY TO KEEP THINGS RIDDED OUT SO OUR ONLY CHILD WON'T HAVE SO MUCH TO DO WHEN THE LORD CALLS US HOME. TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND SORT AWAY! GOD BLESS, JUDY ***4U

OH DEAR LUCY, I HAVEN'T STARTED PACKING YET, I KEEP PUTTING IT OFF AS THERE IS JUST SO MUCH STUFF WITH RAY'S, THEN MINE, THEN ALL THE STUFF FROM HIS MUM'S PLACE, I KNOW EXACTLY HOW YOU ARE FEELING THOUGH WE ARE MOVING FROM A SINGLE STOREY TO A 2 STOREY.

THE BEDROOMS AND KITCHEN WILL BE SMALLER (AS WELL AS BEING UPSTAIRS) AND THERE IS HARDLY ANY STORAGE SPACE OR WARDROBE SPACE.
WE WON'T BE ABLE TO FIT OUR 7' LONG HIGHBOY IN OUR BEDROOM FOR CLOTHES AND THE WALK THROUGH ROBES ARE WAY SMALLER THAN OUR BUILT IN WARDROBE.

I KNOW WE WILL HAVE DOWNSTAIRS, BUT IT IS JUST ONE BIG EMPTY SPACE LIKE AN UNFINISHED BASEMENT, THE WALLS AND CEILING AREN'T EVEN LINED. NO CUPBOARDS OR STORAGE DOWN THERE UNTIL WE BUILD SOME.
THE ONLY ADVANTAGE IS THAT (EVENTUALLY) WE WILL BOTH HAVE OUR OWN WORKROOMS.

I'M STARTING TO WORRY THAT WE SHOULD NOT HAVE LET OUR HEARTS AND EMOTIONS OVERRULE OUR COMMON SENSE.

IT'S NO WONDER I JUST KEEP WANTING TO SLEEP!!!!

JUST TAKE IT EACH DAY DEAR FRIEND, AND I WILL TOO. THEN IN SIX MONTHS OR A YEAR FROM NOW WE WILL BOTH READ THIS POST AGAIN AND LAUGH AT HOW STRESSED WE WERE BOTH FEELING.
HUGS N ROSES, MEGANNE

The bad thing about moving is where to put things. Also, those boxes need to be emptied and put away within a few weeks or they may be boxed up for months or even years. Unload the things that you need right now and then work the other boxed items into their new places. I keep one box for the wrapping papers and collapse the other ones and put them by the door for DH to take out. I work better by myself and send others to get things. It's unfortunate that every time I've moved things were packed that needed to be parted with and always think why did that get packed. Was really glad to hear that you got moved. Good Luck with getting situated and take a break for yourself. You deserve it. Soon you can enjoy your new place.

Hi Lucy!
I am in the same boat you are in. Moving from a 2 story house to a one floor, no basement, no garage.
My DH has no imagination. He wants to get rid of everything. I keep telling him I'll find the space for everything. And if all else fails, I'll move him to the shed. ;)
Good luck to you and best wishes. Sukiray.

Hey Lucy, bless you heart....Did you have that yard sale? I know what you mean by downsizing. I helped my parents with their move and we had to sell, they still have stuff and a much smaller place too. I hope you and Walter are doing better physically. Prayerfully, Terre
