If you like to use them as coaster and you don't know if they will hold you kan try to get the wss off with a plantprayer and as less water as posible and when they are dry put them on felt with glue. Good luck Yvonne

This is a link to ABC Embroidery that has a FSL Doily in 2 sizes that would work for coasters for you.
You have to register at the top right hand side of the page.
Then go back to the link page and click on the second line in the middle section that says Free Design Archives.
Then look for the Lace Doily on the left side of the page and click the words Go to the Download page.
Then download the format that you can use.

You have to register you email address and a passwaord on the right hand side at the top of the page link. Then go back to the link page and in the middle section click on the second line that says Free Design Archives. Scroll down and on the left side of the free designs find the Lace Doily design (in 2 sizes) and click on the small words go to download page. There you can download the file format for the Doily. Very nice. They will be great for the holiday season.
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL WORK! CONGRATULATIONS Terre!
Dilceia, thank you it is beautiful, but started falling apart so I'm having to find a way to fix it.
You could do them on Tulle or Organza for them to stay together.
Nothing ventured nothing lost!
Sorry to hear they are not digitzed very well!

I am not in any way being critical of your work, only trying to help. When looking at these in the close up picture, I see a lot of areas that looks like the stitching is not connecting properly. I hope when you rinse the WSS out, they hold together well. It looks like a beautiful design, but the digitizing looks poorly to me.
So many times a design looks beautiful, but when the WSS is rinsed out, I can really see the flaws of the digitizer. I have magnifying glasses I use to really get a good look at the finished design.
I hope this helps and you take my comment as helpful and not criticizing.

MaryAnn, no worries, after I rinsed it out you were right and the stitches didn't connect well. This is why I'm having to decopage it to a backing of some substance. I appreciate you saying this as there are a lot of newbies like myself who are just starting out with FSL and aren't able to see the difference or know. Yes I am disappointed in the outcome, and I hate I spent so much time and thread on them, but I'm determined to make it work for what I'm using them for. ;) Hugs,Terre
Whew! I in no way wanted to hurt your feelings, I just didn't want you to spend a lot of time stitching a bunch and being disappointed with the outcome. It's a shame the digitizing is done so poorly on such a pretty design.
I hope it all works out for you the way you want it to.
Hugs!!!
Thanks Maryann, BTW that was Stick Bar's website that I got these from. Will definitely do a random stitch sample before actual stitching. Lesson learned. It was my first.:)
FSL Can be tricky and I've had my share of designs coming apart...back when I first started...and recently. But it's still my favorite.
I've never heard of the site you mentioned. Maybe you could contact them and let them know the problems you had with the design. They might re-digitize and fix it properly.
Good luck with your project!!
Well they are very pretty keep on sewing girl!!!CAROLYN
How lovely these are Terre for Christmas, especially - however if it were me - I would wash all the WSS out of them and make them nice and soft, but that is just my perference.
Shirlene I'm afraid they wouldn't hold up as a coaster, which is what I want to use them as. I also think I'm going to have to use cardstock and decopage them to keep them nice for a coaster. :) We will see...
These are real nice in the red thread you did them in.
Could you share where the design is from? Please!
EastWitch2
They are from a German website, can't remember which one. I will try to find it for everyone.
They look great Terre. The red is good choice for Christmas. Carol
thanks Carol. One problem after I rinsed the WSS off. I think I'm going to have to mount them on cardboard or cardstock and use decopage to keep them stiff enough for coasters.
Terre, they look great. I think the red is a good choice. Where is the design from?
Thank you Reva, it is from one of the German websites. Can't remember the name but the title on the icon says stickmotiv
