Thanks so much - I have a peke called "Zoe" who looks identical to Mushu - I am also going to embroider your wonderful design and frame it. Love from South Africa
Vicki, She is just Beautiful! Thank you for sharing her with us! Great Work!!
This is very dear to my heart! I have had Pekingese in my home since 1978. Right now, I have a 4 yr old that is mostly white with some light golden streaks around her body. That is the reason for her original name Patches. She was in foster care for 7 months before I found her and she had been renamed Patty. I have had her since Oct of 2007 and I use Patty most of the time but I also use Patty Patches so she will remember her original name. Her first human Mommy passed away and no one in the family wanted her or her Mom. Her Mom was adopted brfore I ever found Patty on Petfinders.com or I would have gotten both of them. I just lost my almost 15 yr old last month after her 5 yr battle with cancer. She was all white with a tiny bit of dark gray right under her nose. If you have not ever had a Pekingese own you, you have no idea what warm and loving creatures they are. Most have a stubborn streak but don't we all! I did canine rescue for many yrs.(not able now) but I have found that my Chows and my Pekingese have been the easiest to raise and are by far the brightest (most are) than any other furbaby that has ever entered my home. Of course, there are wxceptions to every rule. The only rescue canine I have ever taken home with me that had to be carried back and put to sleep after 8 months of working with him was a baby Blue Chow. The Vet. did not want me to take him when I got him because he was so bad but I had never had any major problems with any of my rescues. This dog wanted to kill everything he came in contact with and I had up to 15 dogs at a time and some were very small. He was put down before he was even full grown. That was the only trouble I ever had over the years. My little Pekingese now, looks just like she has a great big smile painted on her face every minute she is awake. Patty is such a joy to have around. I also have a Min-Pin that was dumped in my lap 2 days after my other Pekingese left me. Was not ready and did not want another animal but--- it was my step grand-daughters and my DIL would not let her take it in her house when she left her husband and came home to live with 2 sons and a dog. My son just got married 2 yrs ago but his deal came with a whole family with grown kids and baby grand kids. 1st marriage for him and I do not think he realized what he was getting into. right now, he has a grown step daughter, her two sons, 2 & 4, and his Mother in Law living in his house. I say my prayers daily that include him and his family also, sometimes several times a day. heehee
Vickie,
Beautiful dogs the pekeneese. You did a great job with the details. Another winner. Sukiray
They are just as wonderful as they are pretty! I have raised many a Pekingese and they are wonderful to have around.
I am the owner of Mushu. I usually have German Shepherds but Mushu was given to us by my daughter when we had to have the last GS put down with cancer. I vowed that I would not have another dog but Mushu was from Animal Welfare and we decided to give him a try. He is just the most wonderful little dog and we love him so much. He is very feisty and will take on any size dog!!! Thank you for sharing your story and thank you Vicki for all your hard work.
I have a peke and she is very much loved. I will put this on her blanket thank you so much.Ros
