I still have mine. Sixty-two years and still hanging in there for Santa to fill.HEEHEE!
We never had Christmas at our house when we were little dad thought it was a waist of money .so now I do not decorate for Christmas just not used to it.

I never had a Christmas stocking but I did make one for each of my Sons as they were born and I still have both of them because my Sons both asked me to look after them.
One is 41 years old, the other 38 years.

The whole family reuses them every year. They get put away with the ornaments. Reduce, reuse, recycle! It's sweet but hard for me to make up a good reason to make new creative ones.
Mickey, thanks for thinking about yours - I don't remember having a stocking - when I was little - maybe we used my Daddy's or something like that. I do have the ones for both my kids - at one time or another I think I asked them if they wanted them and my daughter took her very large one - but the others are still with my decorations and I have added a couple news ones for the grands when they come to visit - they also have ones that I made or decorated for them at their homes, too. When the decorations come out - perhaps we could share some of the older stockings in the project section - for all to view and get idea's and inspiration from. What do you think?
Good idea Shirlene. I've never photographed the ones I made.
I just remembered, I made them out of the leftover material that I made a maternity dress from. The dress is long gone.

I'm all for sharing pictures. Just don't laugh when you see mine. I hope to make one for Rhylan this year. Or maybe I should send mine. Naw.. I'll make a nice big one for her. Mine is kind of on the smaller side. And there are the moth holes.
I don't remember having a stocking as a child, but we have my husband's stocking. It is about 50 years old and we hang it every year. But I don't fill it.
Yes, I have mine and I hang it every year. It was crocheted by my late grandmother when I was very young.
What a treasure - maybe you could take a picture of it and share it in projects with us - later this year.
We didn't have stockings. We each used on of Dad's socks. However, I made stockings for all of my kids and I still have them. They hang on my fire place accessory stand every year and I never think to give them to the kids, who are all grown and away from home. Maybe I'll remember to do it this year.
Have what is left of mine after all it's 60 plus years old....lol
I don't have mine but my daughter (age 40) has the stocking my mom did in needle point when she was little, it still looks really good.....I wish I still had mine.
