This was a project that has caused me problems. I love the design, and it is lovely if done right. Go take a look at it at Embroidershoppe.com - It is called Lavender Lane 1. This is a spare roll cover for the toilet paper. I had issues with putting it together. Not the design, just that I was fumble fingers in getting it together. Too, I think that I used too heavy a batting for it. But, after taking it apart a couple times, and trying again. I decided that this was enough for the day. This is stitched on felt, and is lined (my lining seemed to have shrunk somehow) Ihave all ready started a second one - just to see if I can do one right. The butterflies are stitched on organza first, and then stitched onto the design, making it a 3D.

Very pretty...where did the butterflies come from?

They come with the pattern for the TP Cover. it is all stitched within the design. Very easy to do - all but the assembly. I had issues with that.

I love the pink and purple combination, lovely design. Using felt seems a good idea, what did you line ot with? Helen

I looks great to me - I have to try one of these soon - as I have this one and have meant to get one made up. Maybe it didn't need the batting, the felt and a lining.

I am redesigning my next one. I have the top all ready stitched. One thing to think about - if you use the larger rolls(as we do) this does not fit. May need to enlarge a little to accomodate it. I will let you know when I play with this one more time. Of course - this one took me over 2 weeks to get complete. LOL

When you do this or any design on toilet paper you just need to use cutaway stabilizer due to batting being too thick for this project. I did mine like that with no problem. I just slowed my machine down to not sew so fast. Roberta
