No you not stupid, it was a mistake. As lots of the others have said "we all make mistakes" *4U hus Yvonne
take it to your machine and use a satin stitch all the way around the outside edge with the same color on top and in the bobbin, that should work.
We all make mistakes - that doesn't make us stupid- just means we did a stupid thing maybe. I prefer to call it a silly mistake. Nothing to worry about. You either laugh at it and start over or fix it and hope you don't make that mistake again.
Olly it is no train smach(a very good friend always tells me this.
You are not stupid you just made a mistake enjoy the club Here is a flower for you No worry be happy. Maria
Are you stupid? NO just human. I am sure it doesn't look that bad...don't beat yourself up over something like this. Life is too short to worry over something that won't cause harm. Go make another!
Want to know who's stupid?I bought a Magellan GPS so I would stop getting lost when I go into the city. Took some children to Sea World over 35 miles away, got home put everything up.Could not find the GPS looked over a month, since I knew i had put it a plastic bag (inside my tote) I thought I might have thrown it away with the empty food packages and stuff. Looked everywhere, nothing.Had to buy another one as I was going on a small trip Found the original 2 days later. That will make you feel very stupid. Now I have to sell the new one.But at least now I know I'm not crazy, can still remember to put things away, just can't recall where.Gotta Love it.
I think the biggest problem that most of us have is that we have so much to do and we get in a hurry and it just happens. Most women(I think all will agree) have too much going on all of the time, especially if we have children and/or grand children. My son has a wife and step children with children of their own and as always when it comes to Mama, my son is always the most needy. I feel blessed that at 43, he still needs his Mom for some things. Most women do not have time to think things to death, we just react from our hearts or do things as a normal reaction. We do not have the time to stop and analyze everything that we do and make a game plan. Of course, some of us are just organized 100% of the time. I have never been organized a day in my life. I have not been long ago,(keep in mind I have had embroidery machines longer than some of you have been walking alone)did a design with the tear away and the sulky both on the top side of the material. I felt really stupid when I realized it but when I got through with it, no one was the wiser, until right now. I did purchase the very first Singer embroidery machine as soon as it was on the market. I had not been divorced very long and that has been a very long time ago! That Singer is the oldest of my machines and the least used. I was young back then and was very busy all of the time plus I worked long hours. NO! You are not stupid, just busy! --it happens but if you keep your cool, you can usually fix it. If not, it is just a lesson in life well taught! Have fun and enjoy! Laugh at your mistakes, fix them or just start over. It is really an inexpensive lesson NOT usually forgotten. You can rest assured that this mistake will not be the last one! hugs, Linda
Nahhhh Your mind is quicker than your hands. hehehe...Do what I do, use markers - sharpies- be sure they are permanent and not water soluable. (been there done that one too.) hehehe
Sounds like I am not the only one. I get so aggrevated with myself when this happens. Joyce
I hate it when my thread colour runs out...and have to go buy some more...the hassle...
I think sometimes we just get ahead of the project sometimes and mistakes happen. If you are stupid then I have no idea what I should call myself hahaha ignoramous maybe? hahaha I have found that they sell a very wide variety of colored markers, and can usually match one to what I need ;)
You're not the only one, we all make mistakes like that, certainly when in hurry. You can always go over the outside with the machine satin stitch, I use an edging foot and try the density out on a scrap of the material. Works wonders.
You are not alone. Been there - done that - and not just once!
Olly, don't be so hard on yourself - stitch over it with the same color of thread in the bobbin and on top - either in the hoop or out. Or if you must - use a sharpie - they work wonders.
Been there and done that more than once. Here is a flower for you.
