Do you ladies realise you can create your own thread colours in Pulse, then you can recolour your designs to your own thread colours.
Of course you can use the colours from the existing thread charts in Pulse.
If you would like help to do these things, let me know and perhaps we can set up an agreed time to get together on Yahoo (Instant) Messenger, you can open your Pulse and I can guide you all through the steps.
I use a professional version of Pulse for my Elna, which is Xpressive and its original cost was over $3,000 (Aussie) but it is a very powerful program for digitising.
As far as I am aware, Pulse Ambassador is totally free unless you wish to upgrade to a professional version.

I use it for converting all the time but I haven't taken the time to learn what else I can do with the free version. I would love to get a tutorial from you.

If we can organise a Yahoo Messenger session where we can all get together, it would be so much easier as you could follow the instructions and ask questions while you have Ambassador opened on your screen.
I wouldn't have time for the rest of this year, to give everyone individual instructions or write everything down in such a way as you all could follow it, but I could find time to do one session as I know it really does help if you can do as you learn. I showed Pauline how to use it and she is doing great.
We can work it out once we know who is interested.
You just need to have Yahoo ID and emad, free to join, then download Yahoo Messenger.
I would then invite those interested to be my friends and we can take it from there.
OK, gotta run now as have to meet Glazier at MIL's to get quote to repair all her broken windows.
I'll check back later.

122864Been using it for over a year, it works great, and I can't imagine being without it when I download designs that my embroidery program will not recognize. If they ever say I have to pay to use it, I will!!

I'm liking it so far-now I will never have to throw out my bottom lip again at the idea of not getting a design because it's not in my format lol
3562Linda, I have pulse Ambassador for converting also. It is unlimited time use just for that. About once a month (after my 30 day trial expired), they bring up this reminder to register. I click "Register later" and that's it. I am eventually thinking of using it as a design implement, but for now I just convert. :) It definitely comes in handy.

thank you Terre-I was just thinking of sending you a message about this-you were the one that got me interested in checking pulse out-now I have it. I am still in the baby step mode figuring it out-I have however converted A-Z of the Golden Egg alpha.-wow-time consuming- Thanks again for the tip! ;O)

ur welcome. I know I wish there was a way to click them all at one time and do one conversion, but to my knowledge I haven't been able to figure that out, if its possible. But truly this will be a life saver. It comes in handy when I visit the chinese website. Even though my machine recognizes DST, the colors are way way off so I convert to pes.

But that just converts designs from that site doesn't it?-I go in every week for the 3 free that you can get. I might very well be wrong but I don't know that you can open designs from other sites-I apologize if I am wrong tho.
I have already used pulse-I love the victorian ice and golden egg alphabet here on DBC-now I have them-just have to finish converting them =O)

Debra I noticed that you can d/l that into your pc, I'm sure it works just as well as the other. One of the other things I like about the Pulse is I can see my designs. Of course if you have a PEdesign you might not need it, and I do borrow my daughters PED but I still like the ambassador. :)

Lindalee - I use Embroiderydesigns for converting any design, does not matter where they are from. I also download my 3 a week!!!

Debra, You can use the online system to convert designs but it WILL change some of them and sometimes it corrupts the file.
It also will not convert every format, it converts some better than others and of course it also re-names them.
Ambassador has other advantages, see my other post.

33580I've had the free dl for 2 years now at no cost. So don't have any idea how long you can use it for free. Maybe forever....that'd be nice.

WOW! I like the sounds of that-I actually got the download this past Saturday-my primary reason is for being able to convert files-hate being limited to just jef format and asking people to take their time converting for me-there are so many nice designs I would like to add to my files-now I can do it!Thank you **
