I took a break from making treat bags and thought I'd work on something else. These are for my church group of ladies. We meet every second Sat. and since this Oct. is Pink awareness month, I thought I'd make something they can either pin on, or use in their Bible. :) They are small, but make a great statement!

What a nice idea for your church group members.
Your FSL Ribbons turned out great.

If anyone is looking for these they are on Sadia's Website and are free.

Reva, thank you. I've just figured out that the Lord has given me this opportunity to share with this small group of wonderful elderly women. There is only one other younger than me by 25 yrs. hehehe... I was the youngest of the group till she joined us. (I'm 58) hehehe....everyone else is 20+yrs older than me. There is one that is Altheimzers, there is my mother, who is in poor health and others. I just go by the scripture... "Whatever my lot..."

Terre, these are lovely - where did they come from? What a nice gesture and you are so lucky that you have a group of ladies that are aware of what is going on around them, too.

Thank you Shirlene... I smile when you say I'm lucky that I've got a "group of ladies that are aware of what is going on around them"... One of the ladies has Altheimzers and we have to watch her like a hawk. hehehehe But I know what you mean. They do appreciate the gesture and a couple of them have family members who are survivors of Breast cancer. :)

Have any of the ladies shown an interest in machine embroidery? It would be nice to get a group together and work on projects.

no, unfortunately these are elderly ladies on a fixed income. I've tried in the past to get them involved but just can't get them out of a comfortable environment. I was voted to be the director of the Women of Worth (4th year)and I really try to do things with them to give some motivation. I smile as I say that, cause we have one in the group that has Altheimezer...and she has to be watched like a hawk. hehehe...
