Please if you have cancer or to prevent it, try not to smoke, my dear friend never quitted smoking not even during her treatment...Angels came to take her home last night.

I am so sorry Maria. I lost my father who smoked to emphysema and heart disease. I know the heartbreak of lung disease. My heart goes out to you, but I am so glad that you made the public announcement of the heartbreak it causes to those of us who survive the loss of loved ones.

My heart goes out to you for the loss of your friend.....I smoked for 30+ years, on Nov. 6 it will be 9 years since I quit smoking.....quiting was one of the hardest things I every did, I prayed before I got out of bed and all through the day, I cried I craved, when I wanted a cigarette I would ask God to take the craving and lust for a cigarette.....after about a year I didn't want to smoke....I know how hard it is to quit but it can be done with a lot of prayer.....again I'm so sorry for your loss.....blessings Janet

I'm sorry Maria that you lost your friend. My husband smokes and I get on to him and remind him of some of his family that had lung CA... Unfortunately people are going to do what they want no matter what... :( Stay strong for her family. Hugs.

I also am sorry for the loss of your friend. I don't smoke and being in the ministry we have seen so many people die with lung cancer who have smoked all their lives, and most say they never thought it would happen to them. Very sad. Judy
