how do I figure out what size this would be for example.

I am able to change to either metric or inches on my machine and computer. If not-- I would be totally lost. H&*

i keep a clipboard close to my machines that has measurement & thread conversions. oh, yes, and placement charts.

This is great info, but can I keep it in my head. Thank goodness I am able to choose inces in my machines.

25mm = 1 inch. I am lucky I started school in Australia just when the conversion to metric happened, so I can work in both quite easily.
a 4"x4" hoop is the same as a 100mm x 100mm hoop if that helps at all.

The 240X150mm = 9.4488X5.9055inches. I gave a link for the conversions.

Thank you for this info.

I have the same problem but I do know that 100x100 fits 4" by 4". If you google inch conversion you will find sites on line that will convert it to inches and mm.
