We need some prayers desperately. We are behind on rent and don't have it for this month. I've applied for ssd but that can take years. My sweet Maurice almost had a heart attack in March and had to leave work by order of his doctor. I am unable to work for health reasons and get a small amount from ss every couple of weeks and we got food stamps which is a true blessing. I even use coupons to stretch it out. We have his veterans retirement but since he is not working child support takes all but $235 a month of that. So much for 19 + years defending this country. He's forced to pay for a child that isn't his and two who are in college. He goes back to court next month. Please pray the judge has a heart this time and changes things so we have enough to live on.. Pray we get help before we get an eviction notice as we can't afford to go anywhere. Pray the stress doesn't make him have a real heart attack. I don't want to lose him.

Thank you so much in advance. I know God is in our lives, He proves it every day we have food and shelter and in many other ways. Prayer is the one thing that will make it happen and the more the better. I firmly believe in the power of prayer. I know He listens.

Hi I will pray for you too. If god takes care of the little birds outside with food and shelter he will certainly take care of his children. They are more important to him. Have faith and offer it up to god. Like others said have the parernity test done . THEY cannot deny it as it is scientifically proven. If he is out of work they are going to have to change the amount he pays now as his income has changed. PROVE it with the test and your bills they have to listen! Suzanne

Thank you all for the prayers and good advice. I know God has a plan for us but some days are harder than others and then it's more difficult to be optomistic.
I too, believe we are in the final days- no gloom & doom , just my own belief. I have fears and yet I don't. I know God will take care of me- it is for others I fear.
I know our situation is not as bad as some and yet worse than others, what is important to me is knowing you prayer warrior friends are beside me and supporting me. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I have seen how the power of many people praying for one has made such a huge beneficial impact on a persons life. I know it is the most pwerful force there is and I am so grateful for all of them. Miracles do happen and I know He will provide.Thank you all,
Meri

Meri, may I add my prayers. Can't you have a paternity test done on the child he says isn't his before you go back to court. That might insure a better outcome there. Be prepared and take copies of all of your bills and income statements so that the judge can see what financial shape you are in. I'm praying for all of you and that you will soon have a great relief come into your life.

No, it makes no difference to the judge. The Mom stood up in court last time and told the judge the boy wasn't his and the judge said it didn't matter. She asked him why this kid isn't on his medical and Maurice told her because my name is not on the birth certificate. NY state is horrid!

My dear Meri,

I shall certainly keep you and Maurice in my daily prayers.

"Knock and the door will be opened, ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find." Matthew 7:7

Keep strong in your faith and anytime you need us to pray for you just ask.

Love and blessings Chris

Meri, Many here are good prayer warriors I feel...I have put you and Maurice on my prayer list. My SIL lost his job in April, he was HR for a company that he helped build, when the company was sold to another, he was let go. They also have 4 children and a morgage. So we do understand where you are coming from. I don't want to be a spoiled sport, but we are living in the prophesied days. We need to be ready for Christ return. So keep the faith, don't worry about tomorrow cause it is in God's hands. He will provide. Just do as Shirlene does, and give God the glory for it all. Shirlene and I have the same devotional book titled Jesus Calling and this was todays devotion (not verbatim). "When many things seem to be going wrong, trust Me. When your life feels increasingly out of control, thank Me." It goes on to say not to give in to negativity during difficult times, because He is in contol. If we don't trust God and have faith that He can help and take care of us, then we are calling Him a liar, and I know we don't believe that, so be strong in the Lord. He will direct you through this valley of your life. There is only one way to go and that is up. When you get there, you will look down and see that God carried you through it all... Hugs, Terre

I saw on the news where NASA in Florida just laid off 1200 in one day. Some are leaving the state to seek employment. My sister worked for a company almost 20 years, they decided to move the co to Mexico, cheaper labor then to add insult to injury they sent her and others down to train their replacements. Her company did pay for retraining in a different field and she went into nursing. This is happening much to frequently and so many families are hurting. When does it stop?
