so that I could get something productive now. This worked really well and totally cured my facebook addiction. I am wondering now if I have to find download the addon again and lock myself out of cute. I just can't drag myself away. lol.

My friend kept telling me to go on Facebook to see photos of her 4year old son. I had another friend that said she posted pics from a cruise she went on, so I finally took the plunge and signed up for Facebook. On the plus side, I have connected with a lot of friends and family. Also, between ZooWorld and Cute, I haven't had much time to go on e-bay, so my spending is down. On the down side, it does take a lot of time out of my day. My sister is on ZooWorld and she got me started. Now I spend about 6-8 hours a day on the computer (between Facebook and Cute). Today, I've been trying to catch up on all my downloads (they date back to 9/22) I just keep downloading files but I haven't had time to open them and save them, I have to download to a flash drive and my documents file on the hard drive. Today was "catch up" day. So many beautiful designs. I recently signed up for my 6 month membership to Cute. Still haven't downloaded my fill of designs. I have gone through about half of the Designs by Cuties in the past week or so. Lots of talented people out there. I love this site.

I check in on facebook a few times a day, I have connected with several high school classmates and a couple close friends, even a couple I haven't seen since I was 12 but I hate those games and have blocked them from my pages. I check my email about the same number of times but cute, I am on here for hours on end and hubby thinks I am lost now. I did sit with him for the football game and we both fell asleep and then I ran the sweeper so I got one thing done today!

I'm impressed that you showed enough restraint to download a 'fix' for that problem -no way would I block myself off the PC, much though I do have trouble getting other things done at times. Well done to you & I hope you do pop in here often to post a comment :)

I could care less about Facebook but "Cute" is something else again...come here way too many times as I get behind in everything else I should be doing. Love it.

I have no desire to join FB. My husband belongs but has no trouble walking away from it. For me, Cute is a family. I can interact through questions and reponses. It is a win-win situation.

I did the same thing with FB when I first got it too-had to talk to everybody and checking back in all day long-now-I log on in the AM to "lurk" have a quik private chit-chat with my mom and then pretty much ignore it most of the day-altho-I do have customers that contact me thru it-so I do respond when I see I have a message.
Now CUTE...that's a different story-I spend way to much time on these sites-I can't just pop in and pop out-gotta park my butt with my coffee and brouse all the latest messages and tabs..... ah well, that's the good part of being self-employed-I set my own hours & call my own shots! LOL

I know what you are saying, for me it is now just a quick check of facebook then I park my but here at cute, but I am not getting anything done. which is one of the draw backs of being self employed, you need so much more self discipline.

Alice, I still don't understand the draw to facebook - but I do to CUTE - there are people here to interact with at all hours of the day or night and you also get your designs from the site and the CUTIES, too - you can upload projects and share about your craft or look through other's projects and gain inspiration to create something that you might not have thought of your own. This is almost as good as walking into the local sewing center and finding all your craft friends there - sharing what is going on in their worlds. Hehehe!

You are so right Shirleen, but I do have friends and family all over the world who are on FB so it is nice to catch up. I was born in Scotland and live in Australia so I can chat with my cousins in Scotland, before facebook I had no contact with them at all.
but Cute is definitely better.

Alice, I was almost addicted to FB (for the games more than anything) It was nice to keep up with family, but I really got tired of it, and then BOOM! I found Cutie, it's better than FB anyday. :) LOL

It sure is better than facebook, sharing with people with common interests is more fun, and on facebook my young nieces and nephews have friends who can be very offensive, and very bad at spelling.
