He explained that his older daughter got married several years ago and his wife gave her a hankie with her first initial on it on her wedding day, he said that his wife had since died but his older daughter suggested that the hankie was a good idea, he could not find one that he liked so he wanted me to embroider an M on a hankie. I initially quoted him $2 for the embroidery. I thought about it a lot, how hard it would be for him to arrange his daughters wedding without his dear wife. So when he dropped off the hankie I told him I would not charge him, I just asked him to tell his friends about my business (my business is not doing very well).

Good deeds deserve more good deeds. You were kind to this man and he repaid your kindness, most likely the only way he could think of. After all it is a MAN..... You got a good tip from the $2 you were asking and this man brought good luck to your home by you being kind to him. The Lord works in wonderous ways and not always extreme but it was a good day for your family. I think I would thank the man as well as the Lord. Maybe he had a good idea about wedding materials also. It might be something you want to add to your designs just to try it out. No matter how bad the economy gets all over the world, there is still going to be weddings. Just an idea but the original initial brought good luck even if it was just a small amount. Alot of small amouts do mount up!

That was a great day you had. I was always said to "pay it forward", so it all came back to you. And good luck for the boys too. Times are hard all over, and I have GS that is waiting to be called back into the service, and he can't find anything to even bring in a couple $$.
