I've believe that ARC has the same colour numbering system as Poly-X, and if this is the case, you can use the online and interactive thread converter linked below to select a different brand. Or if you want to convert from a colour already listed (say brother white - 001) to ARC then choose the Brother chart from the list of charts on the 2nd link below.
Last two links are to the ARC thread chart and the Poly-X thread chart... you can see that they have the same colour-numbering system :)
There is also a program you can buy called My Thread Box that will convert threads between companies and is also a cataloging program to keep count/stock of the threads you have on hand.
Hope this helps :) xXx
I have read that POLY-X40 was Arc thread. I have that line, and having just looked at my chart of actual threads and the chart at long creek mills, and it's as I've been told, the #s are the same. Only now they have names.
At BeckyJ McNeill's site, down the bottom of the page there is a pdf file with a conversion chart.
DMC-Madeira Polyneon-Madeira Viscose-Arc Poly-FuFu rayon-FuFu Poly-R-A Poly.
I had even gone out and gotten all the DMC colors I didn't have from my counted XS days so I could match colors on the cross stitch!
Last link is googling for thread conversion charts. There are a lot out there.

I can not find a conversion chart yet, But did find a place on line to purchase it cheaper, and not a hour drive both ways to get it.
I believe you are looking for a chart to convert to Poly-X (which is a brand of thread). I too have been using this thread and would like to find a conversion chart to this thread from other brands.
Do you know what brand name it is? Madeira, Robinson-Anton, etc.?
No that is all it says on the color chart or the thread spools them selves
