More detail: I am making an FSL sleigh, and there is no way to stitch the sides of the sleigh to the bottom - it has to be glued. Is there any particular glue I should use?

Thanks for any help

I didn't do the sleigh yet but I have a glue for paperbooks, fabric, etc with glue witch is drying up invisible. I used it only on the candles and for fsl whitch in top was not perfect and it held good. In Holland I buy it at Pipoo"s but it is a regular glue also for kits. I hope you can use this. Yvonne

Thank you - have given up on the sleigh at the moment. I think my white thread is garbage as it is constantly shredding.

For those who helped, please know that I will post in projects when this sleigh is done. Sadly my machine came back a little better but not fixed, so it is in again:(

Thank you everyone for your help - I am currently waiting for my machine to come back from a service so I can continue stitching this sleigh, hopefully with fewer thread breakages!

I use the fabri-tac by beacon and love it used it on 3D raindeer and sue-box swans the hand stitching hurt my hand and take to long when doing them several at a time if it an odd hold I may use a hand stitch at stress points and use stright pin for a temp hold don't put them in the glue or you want get them back out(lol) ask me how I know that

FabriTac is a great glue to use for any fabric type project....it dries clear and will withstand multiple washings....I use it when quilting and in other crafts.....

Looks like you have some good suggestions.....I've never glued FSL but I really like Fabri-Tac glue, which I purchased at JoAnn's, I use it to glue crystals on my embroidery designs on purses and it holds really well......blessings Janet

Oh my - glue - I try not to use that - even if it means hand stitching - which I used to like - but now my eyes and hands don't. I would try what Terre suggest - I have use some super glue on little things - like putting a pin on the back of a brooch or something - but not for this big of a project. You might ask the craft store what they would suggest or the desinger, too.

Hope you share your item in projects for all of us to view when it is finished.

If you have to glue, the best out there is fabritac.(by Beacon Adhesives) I've made Church banners using this and it really works well. Holds up when things are washed also. :)

I use tacky glue for everything. Aleene's is the brand I use .

Are you sure you can't stitch them, maybe if you rearrange the order you are stitching it in. like stitch sides to bottom then stitch the sides together. If You really need to use glue then I would suggest a good quality craft glue that dries clear. I am very sure that other cuties will have a better idea.

Yes, unfortunately I cannot stitch them - the bottom of the sleigh sits above the bottom of the sides (like l-l) so there is no way to stitch it

OH I see. I have only seen them where you can stitch the bottom in first. Hope you get it sorted, sounds like Terre knows what she is talking about.
