thinks they can polish it out or otherwise will have to order a part. At least it is finally getting worked on. He also told me he would give me a 200 dollar credit on my machine if I want to purchase one for 1599.00 or he has another deal for me for 999.00 and a 99.00 card for the machine. No thanks! I would not buy anything from this dealer after the run around I have received with his repair dept. And i can't believe the 200.00 dollar trade in offer for another machine that has the same hoop size I have now. So hopefully by next week I will have my machine back and can get back to embroidering. In the meantime I'm working on a quilt top for a baby size quilt. I have never done one before but it's looking good so far. No one is having a baby that i know of but by the time I get finished with it maybe they will! That is my update for today.

I have never heard of a machine getting that hot before. What kind of machine is it? H&*

Hmmm... his offers would make you wary about any further dealings with him. If he does his work well you won't need another machine that does what this one does already.
Electrical things do go wrong. It's one reason why I turn my machine off if I'm not in the middle of a project but I once had a machine go insane. It suddenly had two speeds..... full speed ahead or off and I had to work it from the power point in the wall because I was right in the middle of sewing a line of crepe paper hats for my son's birthday party, at night. If I hadn't had this weird sense of humour and burst out laughing I would have melted the innards of the **!** machine with bad words.
As it happened a visiting electrician friend took a bit out of the motor and gave me a replacement but I couldn't it back in so the machine worked perfectly for the next thirty years without it, and has now been passed on to my grand-daughter.

Now that is one Hot Machine. hehehheee...I agree with you on the trade. Of course its like cars once you drive them off the lot you lose $10,000 up front. Never have figured that one out. Just goes to show you how much of a mark up machines of any kind are...Hope you get your machine soon.

Sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience with the repair people. Look forward to seeing a picture in the projects of the baby quilt

Sounds like he wants to make a sale more than do a repair. Hopefully they can fix your machine with the polishing otherwise no telling how long you'll be without your machine if they have to order parts. Glad you've started another hobby (making quilts) believe me when you see it finished you'll be hooked. Have a blessed day.

OH my Bev, I am so sorry to hear this - I guess getting the machine back finally will be a good thing - but what will you do about any other repairs?

Sometimes - I wonder how some of these business' stay in business.

Good luck dear.

He is repairing it and will let me know more tomorrow. I think he got tired of me calling and decided to fix it! LOL. In the future I will go elsewhere even if I have to send it away.
