Like I told my granddaughter. You are the one threading your machine and you make the decison to what color and thread. She could not visualize the design in another color.
I switch back and forth. But I like the polyester thread best. My Brother does not sew well with rayon, my Hus can use either. Hugs, Judy
As far as stitching is concerned they are interchangeable, as long as the wight is the same (usually 40wt). The shine is different, polyester is stronger and more colourfast. So go ahead and enjoy your designs!
You can use any thread on any design you like. I have a program that converts any given thread maker to the metro thread (which is poly) that I use so I have it as a starting place for selecting the colors for the project.
You will not have problems with Polyester.
More the opposite, if you have a very thick design with many stitches at the same place the Rayon somtimes break because it is much more weaker than the Poly.
Happy stitching!

I don't think you will have a problem. I use both types of thread. Poly is especially good for things that are washed as it is more colorfast. Rayon usually has more sheen - but with the new poly threads they have a lot of sheen too
oh thank you. I just can not afford a different bunch of threads right now.
