These are two little shirts that I did today to get ready to go to my friend's girls. I tried to get things done to mail out this week. So they can have a shirt for each of the holidays coming up. This cute little design is from Planet Applique and it is from the Elf Pocket alphabet. It comes with both the boy and girl version, and is currently on salte.

Oh how cute - so do you stitch the little elf girl - then applique the pocket in the same hooping? Or do you stitch the design on the applique first - then the elf and then the pocket? Come on give us some details - this is very interesting.

Well, you start out doing the applique on the pocket, then stitch the girl to the shirt, then applique the pocket onto the shirt. The design has the guide lines in it so that you know where to stich. I think that it turned out really cute. When doing the pocket you leave material to the top of the design so that it turns over to make the pocket back. Pretty neat. What I liked about the design is that it has both the boy and girl elf so that this can be used for boys and girls. Hubby told me that the shirt with the "K" was too small. I asked him if he wanted one LOL
