this is just the hat to wear on a bad hair day or when you wanted a bit of fun, its actually a nice hat but just a tad too big for the person wearing it. I would just have to wear it when going to meet snooty folk for dinner. (daughters inl aws) and then sitting there watching their faces turn red with embarrasment and haveing a good chuckle over it later,, ooh must get that pattern and make it to wear for the christmas dinner they insist on at the local hotel, i could hide a handle inside it and use it as a doggybag. i got me a real evil grin on here. lol
aint imagination a wonderfull thing to make you laugh on a dull day.

I kinda like it, and would like wear it if I ever got around to making it. But I have an odd sense of taste.
It might be nice with a flapper dress on Halloween but....I wouldn't wear it otherwise. Maybe if it was fleece and I could roll up the sides??? oh well, I'm not much of a hat person anyway! :)

I rather like it but I like vintage since I am vintage. I do think it is too large for her. I love hats I grew up in an era when a lady never went to town, church, wedding or funeral without a hat & gloves. Often I bemoan the fact that no one wears hats anymore. I even had to quit wearing my nursing cap that I worked so hard for because" No one wears them anymore".
I'm going to make it just for kicks, does'nt look too hard. Who knows maybe I'll look good in it.

Hmmm..... weeelllllll.... it seems I have no taste in hats at all... I rather liked it.... I could see me walking off the plane in LAX, wearing a brown dookie like that, being greeted by my daughter.....and being put right back on the next plane home.... ;}

Cute, but for a cloche, it's far too large. At least it seems that way to me.
I just dl the pattern and instructions ;o)
Usually I don't war hats or even a cap because I have a big head and most don't fit but this looks "comfortabel" *lol*
Think the model should have used one size smaller and for my taste not the bow and the pearls and of course in black (like all of my cloths :o). Maybe I give it a try short before christmas (until then there is a big to-do-list and many cutsomer-orders).
Greetings, Bettina
Hi Bettina
I bet if you make and wear the hat all your customers will see it and want one also. You may start a new trend. Enjoy your day

Do you think some black crow feathers would look nice? Or better a little pumpkin? And for christmas some green leaves and red beeries?
I will build my new fashion-empire on this model ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
How about feathers and pumpkins at the same time. I'm glad I could help launch your fashion empire. You make me laugh. Thanks
Bev
Well it might be warm were i live if mr. wind didn't blow it off!!!HA!HA!Carolyn
As a Red Hatter I like hats but I wouldn't wear this one even if it was red. Well maybe to a costume party with my flapper outfit.
Oh my .. she looks like she's wearing an oversized baby hat lol .. I've just made some like this for some baby dolls (tho the brim is made to FIT the dolls lmao). Um, I dont think I'll wear that hat .. :) xXx
hehehe! that is something that my grand might wear, however.
Come on Shirlene, I'll make it if you model it for us. We could all take a picture in our new hats and send it to EL.LOL.
I'm serious!

It is supposed to be a 1920's hat. We have a 1928 A Model Ford but don't think I would wear that hat. Although I did print out the pattern and instructions. Maybe with a few modifications it would do. Hats & I do not mix very well, not really a hat person.
Not something I would wear I like baseball caps and cowboy hats. To each his own they say.
I am not much of a hat person and this one would not be one I would wear. I would have the strong desire to say "pick a boo" but who knows by the time I get used to fashion trends they are already gone.
it looks like something from the 1920's. I guess everything old is new again.
You are correct Bev, that is the theme of the posting on embroidery library. It sure is from that era. I have a small head and if I wore that I would look like a hat on a pair of shoulders walking down the street. However, I think the right size with the right outfit it may be ok...just not on my pea head. Lol
