Monica, are you not close to Spartanburg? Ray's Vack and Sew is a qualified Singer repair location. That is how they first started.(along with Viking). They are now a Brother and Pfaff dealer. But I went to the site and they are sold out completely. I tried the CE250, but didn't like it too much. Look in the Review tab and see if there is anyone here that has written a review about it.

I'm actually less than a hour from Columbia. I have visited Spartanburg from time to time. When I had my old Singer Sewing Machine, the nearest dealer at that time was in Florence. Florence is not bad because my DH family lives around that area. It really sucks that everything is so FAR away ;< Bernina is in Cayce so it's the closes ;D *2U

Are you in Brooklyn? If so did you know there are two in SC? I wasn't aware of that. That is why I was speaking of getting together. hehehe...The Brooklyn I was referring to is about 30 mins from me. Then you are closer to Florence? It's all making sense to me now. hehehe. Old age creeping in. LOL

Speaking of repairs, did you all know that JoAnn's Fabrics has a Viking center. These Viking locations also have a repair person who actually picks up and delivers any brand of machine. The sale is rung up through Viking and it takes about 2 weeks turn-a-round time. A general cleaning and adjusting will cost around $79.00 + tax. The work is guaranteed for 30 days, they also can obtain old parts for any brand of machine. I know I worked for Viking for 2 years inside a Jo'Ann store.

I have the Futura ce250, if you don't need the serger the 250 is on sale at hsn for 549.00. Save 400 dollars. it is a pretty good machine but i would like to upgrade as I've had mine about 3 years.

No but deep in thought. Viewed the demo on Home Shopping, price is fabulous for $799 and free shipping. If I already did not have so many I would have jumped at that chance. Go ahead and take the plunge what do you have to lose, you have 30 days at HSN to decide. I checked HSN and they are sold out but you can get on a wait list.

Make sure you have singer repair service nearby or you will have to send it off to be serviced
