The quilted insul-brite is great also for tea cozies.
Keeps your t-pot warm. While you're making that also make a heated pad for the pot to sit upon.

Insulbrite is a thin white heat reflective material with one shiny side. The shiny side reflects the heat away from you. I top it off with ironing board fabric that is thin. You can get both at the fabric store or on line. It is usually with the batting at the store. Ask if you don't see it. I put the insulbrite on the inside and the ironing board fabric on the outside. Works like a charm. Hope that helps. Suzanne

I use insulbrite. It also works for bottle covers and can coozies....also keeps things cold. It's not too stiff and not too heavy which makes it easy to work with.

There is also insul-brite. Any that insulates from heat. A google search will turn up brands and locations to buy, I am sure.

Now that is interesting! I would think that if you used some padding too it would work great, but that is just me.

Hobby Lobby sells Thermolam heat resistant fabric. You could also try Therma-Flec heat resistant fabric. Google lists suppliers for Therma-Flec.
