Iva, that is a very good question. I believe you will need to have some inventory and prices set up for your store online - pictures of your work. A web site or domain. Someone that can create the web site or yourself to do all the work of creating a web site with your information - some sort of check out or shopping cart - through PayPal or credit cards - and a willingness - to being patient as you may have many months or longer waiting for sales - and whatever your state requires for a business licence and tax reporting to state and federal. Perhpas others will come along with more info.

Start with some market research, before you even buy a domain name or start a website make sure you have something that will sell. I would highly recommend you do the challenge. this is free and it will teach what you need to know to get started. It takes time to get traffic to a website so be prepared for that.

fannyfurkin does embroidery top help with the traffic. I know posting freebies on here brings the traffic. Is it the traffic that gets the advertisers. Was wondering how you get advertisers I notice there is a lot here.

Hi embroidery mad, just a quick response at the minute because I have just popped in, having a drink with my boys (husband and sons), this is a very complex question that requires a complex answer. The term is SEO which means search enginw optimization, the challenge is a step by step guide of the basics. but posting freebies anywhere will bring traffic, traffic helps to get more traffic, posting freebies can be a bit frustrating because lets face it it costs money and lots of time to put your product out there and then folk just take your freebies and don't buy. but if they go to your site, take the freebies there is benefits to that, they get to know you and your product, you answer questions and help where you can, build relationships. As I said it is complex and getting traffic to your site and then making sales requires a lot of patience and some days when you just want to give up. good research before you start is the best plan. I did say I would keep this brief, because my family will be looking for me any minute. I will consider doing a blog post on it, but at the very least I will post some more into here.

Oh and the short answer to your question is that embroidery top may help a little but I don't think that much in the long term, this is just my opinion but I think getting up on embroiderytop is just about a sense of achievement. I have been considering posting my views on this from my own analytical point of view and I may just do that very soon.
Alice.
