You say he may have had a "few to many drinks" that is a clue to gently leave as some with a few too many drinks in them are calm and others get vocal and like to show off. I'm sorry that had to happen in front of your son.
Well - perhaps - being in the blokes' world isn't all it is cracked up to be!
Clearly not, He usually wants me to hang around out there with him but I think he just had a few to many drinks and was showing off in front of my son.

I do like it when he is out there and not insisting I join him, I just didn't like the condescending way he spoke to me.
What is he hiding? (Christmas Pressie). Visit him in his shed more often. play darts & watch a tv show with him. then you can leave him there while you go into your sewing room. Don't be surprised if he dosn't visit you in your domain. try to be sweet when he has no clue what you are doing. if he thinks that your sewing is easy get a teatowel & ask him to put a design on it starting by finding one on the computer, downloading, setting up your machine picking colours etc. then next time you are in the shed with his mates let them all know how he went, Keep a egle eye on your machine, Payback is a bitch
He normally wants me to be in the shed with him on the weekends and his day off. But I do have many other things to do with my time.
We were talking about general stuff and I open my mouth to participate in the conversation and my husband down his nose said, Alic why don't you go and do some embroidery or something, like I had nothing intelligent to contribute, this man is getting more rude the older he gets.
