Glad to hear it was a common mistake WE HAVE ALL MADE at one time or another! At least it did not cost you a service call.
That happens to us all at one time or another. My daughter (who is an engineer) called her dad and asked what would cause her new flat screen TV not come one. Well, after having her check some things they decided that she needed to place the service call. Well prior to the service people coming in she decided to go ahead and unplug everything so that they could get to the big screen - and guess what? Yes, you guessed it. One of her kids had unplugged the TV. But, I am glad that you had an easy fix to your problem too.
Too Funny....My hubby got a new battery backup for his computer yesterday and he plugged all the equiptment into it and plugged the battery into the wall. No lights wasn't working so he called tech support and she said any lights on the front of the battery? He said no. She said did you turn the switch on in the front. DUH!! GUESS WHAT it's working. He felt so dumb!! SO moral of the story you are not alone. Just laugh at yourself and share like you did. We all got a chuckle out of it because we have all been there. have a great day ! Suzanne
I'm so happy it was nothing else. We all do silly things like that from time to time, esp. when we are stressed. I sure do understand, yesterday I got a ticket for my dogs of $125 because they got out of my fence and someone I don't even know called the cops. Hope we both have a better day today. Arlene
OMG how embaressing!! Haven't done that but other things just as irritating. Think I am comming down with Alzhimers. HeeHee!!
lol...sorry for the laugh but it was such a relief to hear of your embarassing moment. Hope you find a job soon.
God bless you! I know how you feel, believe me. I hope you can find a job soon and that your machine NEVER breaks down!
Oh Fiona, you got me worried for awhile.
Until I finished reading to the end.
Well I was relieved, and just sat and laughed.
Hope you have a better day today.
Hugs and Love
Yvonne
Hang in there girl! You are one of the blessed who has a hobby or craft they can market. It may not be enough to get by on but it sure helps. I know I am in the same boat. Some days are so frustrating, but they will pass. Be thankful for what you have. And as the younger generation say "you go girl!"
Have a blessed day!
As my mom always says: "Pull up your big-girl panties and get on with it" and Thank you God for my talent
So glad your "stitching" problem was solved so easily!! In stressful times (and I've had MANY), I decided to just laugh out loud, instead of crying! Found it works just as well as tears to let off the tension! When I find myself overwhelmed with life, I hear my mother saying "T'aint no biggie!" ,or, "This TOO shall PASS!" I am a rather "old" lady, and mother passed many years ago, but through her, I learned a mindset that has helped me with all life hands me. One of my favorite sayings to get my day off to a good start is ,"Lord, nothing is coming my way today that YOU and I can't handle together!" Life happens, and it is how we handle it that makes us or breaks us! May the Lord bless you with a special strength, until your storms calm and life is serene again.

O sweetie I am so happy that your machine was not broken. You had me worried when I first started reading your post. Takde care Hugs and *4Y
LOL!!! what a way to start the morning-I couldn't imagine where that opening headline was leading-I thought "oh no,poor Fiona, what's happening?" then when I got to the end I cracked up!Don't feel embarassed-chalk it up to another item on the checklist of the sewingroom. So glad it was something silly and simple and not a dead embroidery machine-Happy stitching ~smiles~ linda
Frustation is a terrible thing. Glad it was so simple this time. Good luck and keep busy.
Oh my Fiona, I was feeling so bad for you - then I read the rest of the post and burst out laughing - not at you - but with you - what a better way for this all to end up - laughing and stitching. *4U
As far as I'm concerned I can have Monday any day of the week I choose. Why not you?
L
Hmmmmm--sounds like major stress at your place today. Take a deep breath. It will get better.
My dear, better embaressed and relived than sorry and tearful. Very glad for you.
Regards n' roses, Starlet
I think many of us have been there and done that. Good on you for telling us, now you can return to sewing
cheer up !it always the wrong cord or the wrong bobbin that get me. spent days trying to get my new brother to work with the flash drive, talk to dealer, talk to the factory rep tryed everything !would work with card not the flash drive bought it because of the flash drive guess what you turn on the machine and get it set to go then put in the flash drive for the card put it in and then turn on the machine simple but it not in the book and the service people didn't even know the trick
fleabag, remember to be good to your self when you are under stress, as most as us have been, its hard to take a deep breath and let go, relax. in this time, when things seam to be on your shoulders, and i know, i try to go for a walk at a certain time of day rain or shine, it clears my mind. hugs Toni lee
One good thing-just feels so good to realize it was only a mistake & nothing serious actually happened; what a relief eh? We all know the feeling; take a deep breath and the next few days should feel a lot better... U deserve some ****.OK everyone she needs *** to cheer her up!
When I read your first comment I thought, 'Oh no!! there's enough subterranean indigestion going on around the world and erupting all over the place!!!'
Then I clicked on your comment and found you'd only made a mistake.
Well, for your sake, and at this time of the year I'm so very, very glad that you're up and running again. A good cry never did anyone any harm and I'm also glad it sat you down long enough to work out the problem. That's one lesson you'll never forget. Hang in there!!!

Glad to your machine is fine. It is you I m worried about. Remember that when life is hard the good news is it can only get better. Sometimes it takes time but know in time it will get better.
Just take 1 hr at a time if you need or 1 day at a time you will get there.
Wishing you happy days ahead.
Well thank goodness for that, It sounds like the last thing you need right now is a broken embroidery machine, hugs and flowers 4u
I amn soooooooooooo happy it was your mistake, I know the feeling of not having your sewing machine and I don't do that much embroidery lately. But, we all do things like that, I was looking for some shoes the other day, after looking in the closet, under the bed, en everywhere, guess what? I was wearing them!!!!!!!!!!!!!********************
Hi Fiona, my gosh, I am sure I am sure I would have cried too, but too much work makes Jack a dull boy. You must try to take a moment for yourself too. Next time phone me and we can cry and shout and scream together,or you can, I will lend the ear. I can quarantee it will feel better.
Lots of hugs and God bless
Marietta
Careful there Marietta, I might take you up on that offer and nobody would get any work done.
Hee hee
Glad there was a happy ending. I got a little worried for you.
I can understand where your coming from. My old sewing machine broke last year and I told my husband I had to get a new sewing machine or I'd go crazy. He took me shopping and got me my first embroidery machine.I am still excited by all it can do. I am so happy that your machine is up and running. Have a great day !
Been there...done that! Rather be a little embarrassed than have my machine down.
Don't be embarrassed, you'd be astounded if you knew the number of service call-outs we had to washing machines that wouldn't work, because they weren't plugged in, or weren't switched on.
Those darn Gremlins are everywhere!
LOL!!!
At least you found the problem before you called a repairman. :-)
hugs n roses, Meganne
Ha, ha, ha. This reminds me of the screw that fell out of hubbies trouser pocket, and went through one of the holes into the drum of the machine, hooking and stopping it from turning. Cost quite a bit to pay a repairman to just lift the screw out of the bin. Would not even mention the red face !!!!
hahahahahaha! at least it was out of hubby's pocket!!! in more ways than one!
Glad it was something brainless.....thanks for the laugh! I'm hoping that you and my husband soon find a job.
ROFL.... You just made my day.... I can't count how many times that has happened to me...hehehe... I used to be a natural blonde. I guess no matter what your hair color is now, THAT blondness never leaves. LOL...
I'm still blonde and those things happen to everybody (but not everybody will be so honest to admit it ;o).
Sometimes I take the wrong cord with all that black stripes from the sewing-machine, the overlock, my iMac, the printer and 2 embroiderymachines (yes they also earn me money cause I'm a stay-at-home-mom :o).
Better this way cause I had last week 4 hours drive for one way to the repairshop :-(
Greetings, Bettina
keep smiling ,,, we have all been there and i'm sure we'll be there again. Life just seems to repeat itself. Just know that others are smiling with you :)
Finally, your embarrassment is great news !!!
:o)
Oh I know that feeling. I was so upset because the printer wasn't working. I didn't plug it in. Enjoy the rest of the day. A new beginning :-)
