Thanks for remembering our veterans. One day my husband will be a Vet.
We call it Remembrance Day here in UK. It is the anniversary of the armistice at the end of WW1. We wear Poppies to commemorate the day and the whole country has two minutes silence at 11am - the time the armistice was signed.
Excellently put Sue. I have spent time today with a group of young Japanese students who are here because a local man was in a pow camp in their town in the second world war. The exchange of the young was set up by him almost 20 years ago when he revisited Japan and erected a memorial to his fellow soldiers who did not survive
Ohio too!
Here's to all the men and women who have given their lives so we can remain free!
A Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life. That is beyond honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact.
Thank you for remembering and sharing this holiday with our Cuties from other parts of the world. We recently lost our son-in-law, who was a Major in the Army, so it is a sad day for us.
I am so sorry for your loss It must be so hard for you now and throughout the holidays this year. We will keep you in our prayers and thoughts. Hope you find comfort, Suzanne
