When making felt projects like coasters, the sleigh, and others, and you have small pieces left over what do you do with them. Do you have a use or do you just toss them. Iva

So far I've mostly just saved them, knowing I'll find a use for them sometime. Good luck.

I store mine in a basket throughout the year and out they come for Christmas fairs. Bookmarks, pencil toppers and cases, finger puppets, hair clips and alice bands, magnets, place settings and even Christmas cards. When all else fails and I REALLY do have some left I donate it to Pre-School and the little people make pictures with it. They especially love the glitter bits!

Cut small pieces -size of inside hole of a spool of thread--glue on back of your pictures so that your wall won't be scaratched. also zigzag several pieces together and use between your fine china or even everyday plates and bowls to prevent scartches.Use on bottom of lamps, or anything that might mar your table tops.Use on bottome of your bedpost or chairs to prevent scratches on your floors.Just a few hints.Hope these help

Good question. A lot of us have the same ? I have a bag of scraps and hate to throw them as that is when I would find a use for them.

why not do applique work with them but instead of sewing down just stick the sections on. children would love that on a rainly day, i have an embellisher so use up even the smallest bits for tiles. if you need to see what i mean i have put two into the projects for you to think about. tile one is taken from a photo of an actual tile and the claris cliff is just that, another take on her work, these look good in frames or simply hung on the wall. to brighten a room.
you can get lots of picture ideas from childrens colouring books or from google images.
use them up and have fun .. annie in the uk

I have a friend who does craft with children & she loves the bags of odds & ends left over form the different things I make. Small bits of fur makes hair beards etc on finger puppets .Scrapes of felt has endless uses. Kids have great imaginations so all things can be used, the worst that happens to the bits is that they are binned .One neighbours child wanted all the trimmings from the pompoms I was making

Great question. I use a lot of fleece and use pieces that are 8x9 for ITH teddy bears.

I love your idea of teddy bears. Can you share where you bought your design?

I do applique with felt from time to time, and save for that, but I do not keep anything too small. Right now I wish I had a way to punch circles out of the felt scraps for the project that I need to do. My hole punch wouldn't work.

I need ideas too. Hair clips won't work for me, keeping my hair short now and don't have any little girls in my life.
