This is beautiful. Love the colors. They really pop. Not many flowers given out here so flowers for all!!
This is stunning! I just took a closer look and it seems to be perfect also! You did a wonderful job on this! Thank you so much for sharing this beauty with us. I too am amazed at any piece that is this eye-catching and has so many pieces and turns out so perfect! I think that I have only seen one more quilt on here that caught my eye like this one. It too was done in the star design.
This reminds me of my Dad's Mom, Ollie Mae, who could make some of the most beautiful quilt pieces, crochet, knit, embroidery, and make the most beautiful clothes I have ever seen and never use a pattern. She was born in 1900, got married at 14, had Dad at 15, Howard was right behind and died when he was only a couple of days old and had 4 more like doorsteps after him. They were dirt poor but she could go into the kitchen and fix a meal fit for a King. My Dad passed away at 58 and my Granny was never right again. She lost her way when her first born passed away before her. She never cooked another decent meal, or did any of her "fine" sewing projects again. I learned everything I ever knew about cooking and sewing from my "granny"! Don't laugh, but when I got married, I would call her several times a day asking,"how" do you do this or that. I even learned to cook over the phone. She was my roll model! Pieces like this bring back wonderful memories! Miss Ollie would be 110 now and much out of her league. I wish she could see some of the beautiful things that our Cuties do and share with all of us! She was not even 5 ft tall and weighed less than 100 lbs but she was a GIANT amoung women of every class and statue! I have missed my Granny since the day my Dad passed away! She never came back to us 100% before she was gone for good.
That is awesome, I have never seen the lone star done in this manner. Love it reminds me of my mother she loved to quilt. I have many of her quilts and some tops I need to get quilted. But not many people do that anymore around here.
Hi Chris - love the twist effect in this topper. Great job love and blessings Chris
