I have been looking for piano keys and have only found a little one, if you can I would like a bigger one 5 x 7 or 6 x 10, either applique or filled...thanks for asking.

Hi Lisa, I am always looking for "boy" things. Tricycles, bats and balls, fishing baits, trucks, cars. Either stiched out or appliques, red work is nice also. I hope this helps put the light bulb on and get the slump gone!

Thanks for all the great ideas. I will need to print this out. I responded to most of you so far....some of them are duplicates because of the ith or fsl requests, so please forgive me if I did not respond, but I did give * for all of you for taking the time to respond.

There are virtually no designs out there for boys aged 10 to 18 approx. I bought a lovely set of bluework from JuJu for my grandson and his face just fell when I told him that I could not "colour them in " with my machine so I have not used them.

They are really cute with baggy trousers, sneakers and a cap on backwards. Using a cellphone, kicking ball, listening to radio, etc.

If you could come up with anything for this age group I would be on your order list like a shot.

What types of things do boys in that age group like? I have one daughter and grew up with 3 sisters no brothers. I ask my one sister what her boys like and she always gives me the "i dont know" LOL

Only know what he likes and that is limited to playing ps3 games on Tv. He has a psp also. He has an ipod that he walks around listening to so it is the earphones and the ipod around the neck or on the hip and the psp set up is also the earphones and two hands holding the game in front of them. Let me see if I can find some pics on the web, although these will be copyrighted you can still get ideas from them. With a lot of them it seems to be way that they are dressed that make the difference. I will send you a link to the juju designs in a pm. All of the Play station games that he likes to play contain war, guns, tanks, bombs, hand grenades, etc. and fighting (to my horror !!) but it is what he enjoys !! They are REALLY so different from girls.

Something that I cannot find is a design for Ultimate Frisbee. I have 3 sons who play it all the time. Two play it on the College level. They travel all over the US playing in College tournements and no one has a design for Ultimate.

Is there something generic for this or is it a copyrighted type thing? Thanks!

dailylaundry by dailylaundry 17 Nov 2010

Oh, no - it is just a sport. Basically, kinda like a cross between football and throwing a frisbee (no tackeling, lol). Both men and women have college teams. Very few designs of people throwing frisbees.

I love and purchase heirloom designs and childrens appliques. Take a look at ggdesigns felt stitchy hair barrettes. They are selling like hotcakes. Maybe you can cange it slightly and come up with more designs at a better price.

I would love to see designs for bath towels, washcloths, and handtowels that coordinate and are of the appropriate size for the size of towel. So, I would love tropical designs for one sister, roses for another, gardening for another relative.

Also since I have family in the military, I would like to see serious designs celebrating our soldiers', seamen's, airmen's ... service. May we have peace in our lifetime!

ITH, designs for men and their hobbies, realistic looking designs rather than cure designs, pretty scenes, cross stitch. I love flowers, lace, the beach, designs for the military branches (not just Army). Hope it helps. Please don't be stressed or anxious.

I would like to see more small designs that fit the 2 x 2 hoop that can be used for napkins or as an accent for other things. Example small flowers, hearts, stars, etc. Also some small 2x2 monograms.

I have done very little with FSL and ITH stuff. I would love to try to digitize some FSL. As for the ITH, my creative juices just dont flow enough to make the project...it gets too detailed for me and then I cant figure it out! I did a bag for my daughter once....I will dig it up and post it.

FSL is my favorite. I would love FSL Angels, dog breeds, cat breeds. There's very few dog and cat breeds in FSL anywhere on the internet. 4x4 or 5x7 hoop size would be great!

I have a hard time finding nice golf designs. I look for nice golf bag designs, girls and guys swinging club, mini designs suitable for golf shirt logos, owl or bird sitting on golf club, etc. So few sites have golf designs. Nanc

I would absolutely love to embroider all Harley-Davidsons bikes beginning with 1937 till present. I would even be willing to pay you. Purchased a large book from Books-a-Million that shows beautiful pictures and history of each bike. My son is a biker. Would be nice for his 50th birthday next year. Just a suggestion.

I enjoy ITH also, especially designs I can use for my hair bows. Hard to find small designs under 2" that would look cute on a toddler's bow/clippie. Also maybe some different silverware holders for a table setting, ITH tea cozies, I like FSL jewelry,(don't wear it myself, just sell it):) ITH pencil toppers, sucker covers, anything that is crafty.:) Hugs, Terre

I really like in the hoop designs - things like softies, zipped bags, quilted items, things like that. I also like simple designs, like stars, sun, moon. And, small appliques are hard to find. Don't forget something funny too! Good luck - everyone gets into a slump with whatever they do! Hugs, Laura*

I am so glad to see this question. I've spent days trying to find designs to finish my baby quilts.I would love some Red Work type (very simple)animals/baby suitable, outlines which have a single run, straight stitch. The stitch must also be a bit longer than regular designs.
They are to be sewn once the quilt sandwich is put together.
I can't find any that are suitable, and so I have sat with these unfinished quilts for some time .
I cannot digitize well enough!I am sure others will want to use them also when I have shown my finished quilt.
Thank you very much.I will keep checking this page

What size do you want those designs to be?

dailylaundry by dailylaundry 16 Nov 2010

Simple baby quilt designs is an excellent request. These are hard to find!*

bevgrift by bevgrift 16 Nov 2010

Thank You. 4x4 (is great for all with only small hoop) and 6x6 is also a common size quilt block so a 5x5 design will fit great. You need a little border around the design for quilts else the seams get in the way.
(NB they are to be sewn last on the sandwich quilt and embroidery thread will also be used in the bobbin) That way the quilt design is on the back of the quilt also.
Will be much appreciated
from Bev

mops by mops 16 Nov 2010

In the past I used the outlines of embroidery designs and skipped all other colours, but now I make whatever I need. I prefer a double run for a quilt as embroidery thread is less strong than quilting thread.

bevgrift by bevgrift 16 Nov 2010

Yes I have tested some like this but they are still far too dense even a lot of red work designs are too closely stitched. I prefered the free hand method before my embMachine days:)

hyfibutt by hyfibutt 17 Nov 2010

I have several redwork type designs on my site. They are all for the 4 x 4 hoop. I do not have any issues resizing and changing the thread length to fit your neeeds. If there are any specific type designs, let me know. I like digitizing redwork.
