hi Bev, i was a adult ed teacher for years and did a lot of ceramics and porcelain dolls had three kilns at one time, good memories, don't have mold one, just the bad back, have fun hugs. Toni lee
I used to do ceramics at one time. However, when we moved I got rid of everything. I still have a few of my favorite pieces. One is the ceramic Christmas tree with lights that I still put out somewhere on display every year. I enjoyed that hobby when I did it but find I much prefer machine embroidery after discovering that. Whatever I do my hobbies always end up to be expensive ones. LOL. Mary
Bev, how great that you found your mold and your piggy doll - I can't wait to view it. My Mother (Miss Loretta) had a ceramic shop in our home (she taught painting, too) - when I was in Jr & Sr High School. When my parents divorced she moved to Florida and there she took up shop - a huge place that she taught in several classrooms and it was a great endeavor for her - I had a huge amount of her work - but through the years - I have lost this or that piece and I was robbed once and lost many of my favorite pieces then, too (they were mostly my Christmas items). When I think of ceramics it brings joy to my heart and I know it must to yours as well. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I still have the first ceramic item I made. An really ugly little jar,my Mom has some things I'd like to throw out but she won't let me. I lived in Florida from 1986-1993 and did alot of ceramics at a hobby shop on Eglin AFB when my ex husband was in the military. But got away from ceramics for other craft endeavors. Then piggy turned up. It's cute. I'll post it tomorrow
