When Ikea finds out we all want these lamps the price will triple. LOL right now it is 6.99 in the USA.
I have always to hurry and buy them when they get a delivery. Here in Germany they have sometimes problems with the replenishment and I need them really right now so I went out of the store with 30 lamps *lol* (Okay just packing 7 lamps for customers so they did not stay very long at my home)
Greetings, Bettina
These lamps are in Australian Ikea stores for $14.99
Do you watch for the size? Grönö is available in the small size that I use and there is a double pack and those lamps are both bigger. Prices are not the same in all countries; in Austria just 3 hours away the lamps are 1,-€ cheaper ;o)
Greetings, Bettina
I have posted my attempt at ansalu's wonderful idea.<br />http://projects.cuteembroidery.co...
You made a wonderful lamp :o)
This simple glasslamp offers so many possibilities to make lamps for everybody:
Kids, grown-ups, women, men...
Greetings, Bettina (who has another 5 ordered lamps on her list :o)
Well ladies, I just hopped over to ebay and there are 4 or 5 of them on there but you will pay a lot more than the $6.99, they are about $14.50 plus about $12 shipping but there is one for $10+ and a little lower shipping but that is going to be "first to get there", lol! Type in Ikea glass lamp.
Some try here in Germany also to make double money with ikea-stuff. We have the highest concentration of ikea-stores worldwide (we love the elk :o) but there are some parts of Germany without a store around the next 100km or people didn't recognize that the article is from ikea and has a much lower price there as on ebay (found poppies for walldecoration for 3x the price of Ikea!).
Greetings, Bettina (send you a mail :o)
I think I need to make a trip to Ikea in another state cause I now NEED one of those lamps!
Hello Bev,
this is Grönö from Ikea. At ikea.com/us I found them for 6,99$ but they sell them just in the stores. Can understand that; just say glaslamp + parcelservice :o(
Greetings, Bettina
Thank you, i have an Ikea catalog and will see if these are there. it cost more to ship from Ikea than it does for the actual lamp. Will make a trip in Dec to Ikea store near Dallas about 150 miles from me and see what i can find. Where did you get the idea for the lamps? Was it your own
Bev
Not my own but I did not know that there is somebody who claims this idea as his copyright. At DaWanda where I sell these lamps there are some others with those lamps but everybody has his own style. Some offers the cover with velcro-strip but I prefer to sew it complete. I alsp saw people that felted a cover for these lamps or do windowcolor-painting on them. They are a good rawmaterial for many different kinds of crafts :o)
Greetings, Bettina
Bev
you can check on the ikea-homepage if they have the lamps on stock:
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog...
At the right site you can choose your local store and look for the availability. Click on stock prognosis if they have none and you can see the next delivery :o)
Greetings, Bettina
Some of my ideas are original and some i see elsewhere and make it my own.
Bev
I am making one now. Bought them when I visited my daughter in Seattle since Podunk, Montana doesn't have an IKEA! I think this is such a nice project, thanks for thinking of it!
