I know you have your answer, but I will add my two cwnts worth. Just jump in. Stabilize and go. I make lots of teddy bears. It is easy and quick. Have fun.
I use fleece for lots of things and don't have any issues. I generally use a tear-away and spray glue the fleece to the tear-away so it does not shift for the stitching. I also use a wash-away topper so the stitches dont sink in (probably not needed for toys but helpful for other things). I use a universal needle (which I use for many things - bought them by the 100).
Well I must just say that Mops "Martine" designs are a pleasure to stitch out. I have used fleece, with normal stablizer in the hoop, and on the top I just use wss on the top. Hugs Yvonne
For the small in-the-hoop toys I digitised and uploaded in DBC I used fleece - no problems, no special needles.
You hoop the stabiliser and follow the instructions - and it works well as many of them have been posted in Projects.
I agree, Mops, "Martine's" designs are a pleasure to stitch. I have not had any problems with them - Thanks again Martine, for your lovely designs. **4 u -Hugs Yvonne
I haven't done fleece ITH. But I have embroidered on fleece. Fleece is a knit so you have to stabilize well. You also want to pick a design that is a little dense so the fleece doesn't poke through after a while. (That's for designs not the in the hoop part.) When I make a fleece pillow I use a tear away on the back with spray adhesive and WSS on top. Depending on what you're making you might want to do a fusible backing instead.
thank you for the information, both the above bear and bunny Look cute and will work for me so thank you one and all now to bed its 130 and hear i am in em. land hugs, Toni lee
