OOOOPS. I have been putting clipart in dbc for the designs I digitise. How do I show a picture of the design straight from the digitising program. I do not test stitch many of my designs.

Had to open the file in Sewwhatpro and then managed to save as jpeg. Cant figure out how to do it with digitiserMB. (Waiting for anybody else with same program to let me know HOW)
Lesson learnt for today. I will try to be good with the next design I post.

moyed, I use generations and when I go to save the design you can save as and change it to jpg format. Also I use buzz Xplore to view designs that will allow you to create a thumbnail,I don't know about other software but just look around in your software there would have to be a way. The print screen and paste to paint is also a good option. It is just my opinion but I personally prefer to test stitch then take a photo, there can be a big difference between, what you see in your software and what actually stitches out.

Hi Moyed, I just created a picture for you of your little crown, I sent it to Raels as it was she who sent it to me as a design.
OK, just sent it to you also.
Depending on the digitising program you have, some will create pictures for you, usually it will be under a menu as export (or create or save) template or image or documentation or thread list or thumbnail.

Have you tried looking in your software's user manual????

Which software are you using?
hugs n roses, Meganne

I haven't posted in that area but I'll tell you how I put my pictures in other places. While my picture from the software is up I hit "print screen" that saves everything that is on the screen at that time. I can then paste it to a word document or into paint. In this case I would use paint. Then save the paint picture as a jpeg and name it of course. You should then be able to post that jpeg.
You might have to make sure that the paint is saved small enough. If it is taking up more than the full screen you might have to shrink it. I don't know how big the DBC picture area will take.

Something else you can do while in paint is click "select" and highlight and save just the picture of the design then paste it to another paint screen. Save and post. This will remove all the other software info from the picture.

Thank you I will try that tonight. I thought the clipart had to be posted. There was no clipart on some the cross st designs a while back & they were removed .

I forgot to tell you that I like to show the page that looks like real stitching. It usually looks better :)
