crippled up with rheumatoid arthritis. He had a heart attack and had a quadruple bypass 1/3 of his heart is dead that is suppose to shorten his life. He got shingles after that. He had two mini strokes that effected the right arm and his speech. Each time got better. He later had a hernia operation. the doctor messed it up and he had to have another. The x-rays they took showed he had an adominal aortic aneurysm. More x-rays showed he had one in both legs. These are silent killers. Things got better then he had to have back surgery it didn't help much. Things were going well Then he got real sick it was hard to get him to go to the hospital. The problem was that his body wasn't making blood, and had blood transfushions, he was lucky he went or he would have died. The arthritis medication was what caused this. Now he is hurting without medication the weather is so cold. I hope they can find something for his pain. He had another mini stroke last week again, there is a blockage in his neck they believe this is what caused the stroke. Now we are waitimg for another surgery. I know his body is tired but I pray that everything works out for him I love him so much. We were married when I was seventeen in 1963. Please help pray for him Thank You, Lorrie

Nancy, Thank You for your prayers. Your right we do take care of our loved ones I take care of another member of my family My 50 yr. old sister that has part Cerebral Palsy and she is Autistic. She has two other sisters but they don't care and don't see her or help, I think they are ashamed and can't handle it. She is difficult alot, but I love her. I have a hard time because she can wear out your patients and I can deal with it but it's hard on my husbands health. I love them both. I pray and cry alone some, that helps alot. I take care of my 3yr. old grandaughter every day. She is funny and makes me laugh alot she is so bright. She brightens up my husbands day too. We really miss her when she is not here.So you see I am A busy person. I love getting on my computer at night and reading things on cuties. I have more time on my hands my grandaughter will be gone for thirteen days. All of you on cuties have a very good relationship, always cherish it and have fun. Thank all of you! love lorrie

Lorrie, my dear - my heart goes out to you - so much - you and your husband have gotten through so many things - I was sent this by another CUTE family member recently and I want to share it with you know - I hope in it - you read something that might help you - get through this time:

Recorded in Your book
A book is made up of many pages, paragraphs and chapters. A biography or story usually has a beginning, middle and end. God knows the end from the beginning of our story. He has written the last chapter in our lives already, according to Psalm 139.

He knows the hard chapters, the joyful ones and the really painful chapters. If we really trust Him in these times, He has made provision for us. He works all things together for good, when we love Him. I have often found a good chapter following a bad one.

Sometimes we make mistakes in our lives, which may carry consequences. We may have repented and been forgiven, but sometimes, not always, the consequences may still occur. We may still have to reap what we have sown and sometimes what others have sown in our lives. What are we to do about it? The one thing we can be sure of is that we are not alone. Jesus is with us and has given us the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, and we can work through all these consequences with Him, The same mercy, love and compassion that brought us forgiveness will hold us as we face what He permits in our lives.

We know that His cleansing is complete and when the last page of our lives is written, the book and our salvation are complete. Jesus pronounced at the cross, “It is finished”. The price had been paid. The book won’t be closed until the last page God has written has been fulfilled in His perfect time. There will be no end, because this will be the beginning of eternity with Him.

‘My sin, Oh the bliss of this glorious thought,

My sin, not the part, but the whole –

Is nailed to His cross and I bear it no more.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Oh my soul’. H.G. Spafford.

Prayer: Lord, help me to live this day according to Your will. I pray that You would be pleased with today’s page of my life, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I will be praying ro you and your husband. Unconditional Love, Shirlene

Thank you Shirlene, for your kindness, prayers and for your note, I got alot from it. We always talk before surgery and know it is in God's hands. I've told him that I strongly believe that his state of mind and trust in the Lord helps pull him through this. God has been there for him but he has to help too with a positive mind that I will always be with him and waiting for him to wake up. God Bless you Shirlene and Thank You again for your prayers Love,Lorrie

My goodness, Lorrie, that's a lot for one person to have had happen to them. And you, too. May you both get through these continuing challenges with as much resilience as you've both shown so far.

Your husband sounds like someone with a strong will. That's really a big asset and with your encouragement will help him a lot. I will join the others and keep you in my prayers and hope that all goes well. I have been married since 1968 and have a husband that is also not doing as well has he could be. God bless you both.

I will pray for you and know how you feel. My late husband was also very sick and I also loved him very much, but he suffered so much that I just prayed and said to God to do what He knows will be better for my husband. But remember nothing is impossible for God to do and He can lessen the pain and heal. I will keep you both in my prayers, just pray and be strong. Hugs

babsie, I have thought about what you said before and have wondered if I am doing what is right for him but As long as he fights to be here I won't give up I know there will be a day when his body can't take any more and I will have to let go when God takes him. Thank You for your prayers. Love, Lorrie

Dear Lorrie, My heart goes out to you and your husband. This time last year my husband had just had a quadruple bypass. He has recovered so well and is back to playing sport every day. I know how some medications can mess everything up. We have been through that. I wish all the best for you both - keep strong. Love and hugs coming from SA. I see we are the same age!!! Sarah.
