Carolyn, If you go to YOU I have a post that shows you how to make them. They are the metal covered buttons without the shank in the back.
Sorry, I would like to make some also, but cannot find it. I don't understand what you mean by go to YOU! Thank you for any help!!
Maria
Maria, if you go to www.youembroidery.com which is another site owned and developed by Veronika (owner here), I have posted the instructions with pictures. :) Hope you enjoy them. If you look around in the post you will find links to the websites I use for supplies.
These are awesome thinking about making some for friends I know. they would love them
they make the perfect gift for hospital personnel, teachers, and other workers that have to have ID's.
Cute buttons.
Thank you. These buttons are glued to a retractable reel. You can't put these on clothes, but you can make them for that if you have the right backing on the button.
Terre - these are terrific!!! And, I want to thank you for showing us how to do it on You. I wanna make some, hehehehe! Wish I had some extra time! How long do you think it took you to do this group? Great job! Laura*
Thanks Laura, it took about 30 mins. The mini's are from emblibrary I think. I used my 2X3 hoop and ripped off a 4" strip of white fabric and then with each one I individually put stabilizer under, but didn't cute the fabric until all were done. 1 strip of fabric will make approx 12 which is how many I needed, until yesterday when she asked for more. LOL... I'm glad you like them. I hope you will be able to make some too.
Very cute, wish I had some of those when I was working but then, my reel was on my belt loop to hold one master key.
Deb, you still could have used one. hehehe...I'm almost tempted to carry one with my new business card. We'll see...
very nice work Terre! Yearnings of you friend!!!
Thank you Dil. Haven't see you in a while, you must be pretty busy with Christmas season. :) Hugs, Terre
Yes... But I deliver today by today.
Today the 20hs, it will be the decoration opening of my city. Today Santa Claus, it does the house key delivery to the mayor. It is going to be a party!
Terre, they look great...I love them all. Great work as usual. Reva
Thanks Reva, They really turned out cute. I got a call to add bells and snowflakes. LOVE the snowflake ones.
very nice christmas buttons, my favorite is the little santa ********
Thank you Hilde. I didn't go by the color chart. They were using all gray tones. And you have to give Santa Blue eyes. LOL
Wow you are so good at making a bunch I'm luckey if I make one. Love them
Emily, I keep on hand a bolt of white fabric and snip 3" and and rip the whole bolt from selvage to selvage. I use my small 2X3 hoop and just start stitching. I don't cut the fabric until I have however many I can get on that one long strip (usually 12). :) They are fast and easy. I left instructions on YOU.
Wonderful that you are getting so many orders for these - where did you get your mini's? Great work Terre *4U Shirlene
I purchased the Christmas from emblibrary, I think. I know JUJU has some and it might have been from her. But I think it was the EL
What are the "things " that you cover with the embroidery piece? Would like to see what you are putting the fabric to. They are pretty.
They are flat back buttons that are covered with the embroidered fabric. I then glue them onto the ID Badge reels. They are used in hospitals, schools, seminars, etc... Here is what they look like before I cover them. This is a great website if you have never been there.
