Just a thought. Do you have an old pair? Some places will put the lenses in another frame you have if it is possible. That would save a lot. Worth a try.
I did that with one of my husband's a few years ago. We still had his old frames and they were similar to the new ones so we had them switched and it wasn't bad for the cost.
Hopefully you will be able to find a place that is inexpensive. I know - any cost at this point is expensive. There are some places that give deals and some places even have coupons for discounts. Look around and maybe you'll get lucky.
Good Luck!
Sorry to hear that - I can embroid (hand) witghout mine (and read) but wouldn't be able to drive - and that would be a disaster!
Hope they not too expensive to replce
Oh my, I'm blind without mine and wouldn't be able to drive if they broke. That is why I keep my previous pair handy and also I wear contacts when I go out so I have oodles of reading glasses if I don't take my contacts out when I get home. Hope your's don't cost as much as mine do, there would definitely be no Christmas here. :( You need to leave a picture of your new glasses. hehehe.
Oh no,hate to hear that. Maybe you can replace them without costing you an arm and a leg. Hope so!
Hope they aren't as expensive to replace as you thought!! Good luck! Laura*
So sorry to hear that. Like Bev I am totally lost without mine for close work. I always have a spare pair on hand. My everyday glasses are fixed round my neck!!! Hope you will be back soon.
Sorry! Hope you are able to replace soon.I am lost without mine, get into a flap when I even missplace for a minute. And I know how pricey they are.
From Bev
Well that's just not good. I always keep my last pair as a back up and the pair before that goes in the donation bin but I am never without a back up pair.
Stella, good luck with the purchase fo the new glasses - you need those more - most will understand. *4U
Isn't it amazing how just when you are breaking even, even getting ahead, something happens! But we want you to be able to see. You are much safer then.
