Last year I decided to give up my full time job as a teacher to have more time for myself and my hobbies. Guess what Since I have stopped in September I haveworked all days except for five days last week and then we had the painters in,so I could not reach my sewing machine! My plan was to really have a go this week but I have been called up again and this will be probably up to Christmas and maybe beyond!

Oh so true. I work fulltime and try to get embroidery done after work and in weekends, in between housework/grandkids/children/pets/husband/friends. Not in that order. lol. I have xmas orders sitting waiting to be completed so do sit up till all hours, no wonder I feel a wee bit tired at my desk. Good Luck.

Isn't there some quote about If You want something done, ask a busy person. I'm sure that you are a busy person and will find a way to manage your time, so that your crafts will get done. Get your project organized, then stitch them the next time you get a free minute. good luck

There are 2 good things to this. The kids are blessed to have you with them and the embroidery is still patiently waiting. Be patiet and continue working or you will have to use the dreaded word, 'no'.

I have to say that is one of the reasons I left my work. As i am very bad at saying no I got more and more work, it also meant less and less teaching. At least now I am teaching again instead of managing other teachers! I have to say the embroidery is patiently waiting, but I am seeing so many nice designs, that I am itching to do them all!

Guess the ansewr is to embroider in between work! I find somehow or other, when I'm on vacation (at Home) nothing gets done cause all I'm doing is cooking, looking for food, picking up - watching TV etc. But when I'm working I somehow manage to get sewing in.

Sounds as though you're going to have to put your embroidery on hold while the children benefit from your teaching skills. Look at it this way you'll be making extra money to buy new designs and supplies and that in its self could be a God send.

That is the curse of being such a wonderful teacher and person. It means no one can quite live without your presence. There now, don't you feel better?
