I have the same problem with my Brother, no service center. If I ever get another machine I am buying locally at a center. My Brother was from Walmart so not even a lesson on how to do anything. Never again!
The sad part about this is that you own a very expensive sewingmachine. I hope your new EMBROIDERY MACHINE will do better. What did you geet or are you still checking them out?
stll checking, doing some more research this time, last time i knew nothing about emb machines before I bought. Making a list of what features I want.
Know this is a couple of days ago - but here goes- when i bought my Bernina at a Quilt festival Singer had some fantastic offers but I was wary as my sister bought a Futura in the seventies and could hardly use it, it was so bad. I have a mechanical Bernina (bought 1971) and still use it daily for normal sewing- hardly need to service and no problems. Would love an 830 but could never afford one.
what model is it? i just sent mine back to the factory for the 3rd time. it is an xl6000 which i bought brand new and has been nothing but trouble from the start. I have had it 2 years and it started giving trouble as soon as i got it.
i have the CE 250, when I told Singer my problem the wrote back 3 days later that I need to use the correct Singer bobbin. Duh! i have told them i will not be buying another from their company.
I can sympathize, and hope you get your Singer back soon.
my neighbor has a singer and sent it to the factory for it's annual cleaning. She went to one of those pack n ship places and they did everything. She had her machine back in less than a week and it's been running great ever since. good luck and check out the major leaders, Bernina, Huqvarna, Babylock, find your preferences and have a blast.
i think that is what I'll do. Let them do them packaging and have it insured.
