Very new to this whole embroidery thing, but I am hooked for life. My question is this, my husband's father passed in July and he would like his picture digitised for a quilt. Any suggestions?

Do you have a photo stitch edit on your PC program for your embroidery machine - you could upload a picture and test it out - that is what I did for this one:

33580I don't recall who I had digitize this photo, it was done in 2007. This is a photo of my in-laws wedding. I made this pillow for their 60th wedding ann. I was very happy with the end results. They keep it on the old rocking chair in the living room. If I recall, I think the photo is about 5x7 plus the text. LOTS of stitches in this, but it was well worth it for them.
