I will be stitching out the lace hearts Monday. Where do I find directions? They look to be freestanding & not needing an organza backing. But I don't want to a chance & have them fall apart.

I have done a couple of the hearts They stitch out very nicely on heavy WSS. For those needing a source for information,as ruthie said, Embroidery Library has a lot of help for a number of topics. Check out Kenny's Korner in the project section.

Hi, Ruthie, I know how to do free standing lace. I can digitize it. I need to know if these are designed for an organza back ground or for a wash away stabilizer. I have looked all over the site and don't find the info.

Never mind. I'll open the file and see how it is put together. Thanks anyway.

Freida, you'll have it all sorted and probably stitched out heaps by now. I didn't know whether you had done FSL before so included that info. No harm done though because I guess someone who hasn't done any will probably read this page and make use of the info anyway. Here's a flower for you.

I know how to do free standing lace. Just had a question which I have worked out for my self. Normally this kind of info is added by the digitizer or included in the file.

Freida, the hearts are FSL (free-standing lace)and if you look back over recent questions you'll find considerable info on this subject, so I won't rehash it. But here is a site that has a very good tutorial on FSL - www.emblibrary.com. Mine stitched out beautifully, so have fun making them. Here's a flower for you.

I am stitching a LOVE heart right now. As I couldn't find where it was FSL, I did
use organza; but looks like WSS would work. It is beautiful. Kudos to you.... and THANK YOU. Donna in IL
