I also spend a lot of time downloading! I don't know how you guys that post projects get it done! between working and computering I hardly have time to sew!!
I hereby declare myself guilty of spending whole days hunting and downloading embroidery designs and the bookmarks section here hasn't helped to improve the situation ;-) but I am NOT stopping he he he
kkcogle took the words out of my mouth, "JUST" 2 hrs lol. I was at my quilt group and got home at 10pm. Almost straight to my comp and emb mach. In this rm til 1:30am. Back again @ 6am n it's almost 8 and going strong :p *4U all
my brother was ill and I've just spent 2 months with him. Now I'm back home wonder if i'll find the time to use the hundreds of freebies I've downloaded - seems I've caught the same bug as everyone else on here!! he he Jo Uk
As Sandra said, sometime I just fall asleep in front of my laptop, my husband says "turn off the laptop, you are sleeping" and I say "oh no I'm not, this is the last one" and never is.... Flower and XoXo
reals, it LQQKs like someone caught you doing the same thing 59 days ago, that you were doing just yesterday. HaHa. A flower for you!
I have thousands of designs and I would bet I have stitched out less than one hundred. I spend hours downloadind, buying, organizing and then trying to pick a couple to use....lol
ctirish, try taking some of that time and relaxing with your embroidery machine or do what I do, start the machine and stich as I download. HahHa! A flower for you, welcome to the 'CUTE' family. Loretta
Raels , you are another Charter Member of S.A.D.D. HA Ha Ha It's good to have company. A flower for you.
JUST 2 hrs? he he he
I never knew time could fly by like it does while downloading!
kkcogle, 2 hours, 59 days ago, so more than likely, she has more time at the PC or gets more done per hour, now. HaHa. A flower for you.
That's a great one! You are so much fun on this board!! I just love reading your posts...I always get such a chuckle out of them!!! I would give you two flowers...but I think they can only be handed out one at a time! Kim
Shirlene - I think it proves we are all *still* addicted, doesn't it, haha. These addiction posts pops-up on a regular basis - meaning that all new members are catching the bug from us!!! I think we should warn them - on second thoughts maybe not, would you want to have been warned, I wouldn't, in fact, I wouldn't have believed them, would you? Oh well sweetie - it's back to downloading for me, haha. Hugs and a flower.
Should have said that this is in response to shirlene's post - the one written 58 days after raels first posted this one, haha!!! Keep up the addiction *Cute* folks.
SAME thing - different day - check this out - from 58 days ago. Hehehe! *4U
Addicted? Addicted? Who's addicted? Not me! Never. I think the reality is that darn word FREE. Few are able to turn down anything (most anything) free. Gets us every time. Now if I just had the time, money, material and thread to sew out everything I have. I do make denim patchwork throws as a way to test most of the designs. That way I know which are the good ones and which ones aren't. And I have an endless supply of gifts when needed. I go to the local thrift store and buy up used jeans for my denim ($10 a trash bag). Good for pillows too. Keep on collecting them FREE designs.
Hello Raels, yes I have been at it for hours and all the time I am thinking that I am never going to be able to stitch them all out but I cant stop , I have been forced to stop now by my eyes hanging out of my head and me nearly falling off the chair a few times and you think oh just one more. HA HA HA she'll be right and then you mess up the file numbers, I have learn't to stop after the first couple of jults off the chair. LOL
Sanjoy, you need to embroider yourself a seatbelt for that computer chair, LOL. Marji
Hey you girls, you aren't alone I don't fall out of chair, nice big arms there to keep me SAFE when I FALL ASLEEP in the chair and wake up to gather a few more of them there ''''FREE'''' ones.
Half of the fun is in the hunt!!!! Keep on downloading!!!
Yesssss! We stalk, we hunt, we catch the designs like ravening wolves, or great cats. Giggle, snort, laugh. At least we don't have to clean our catch, or scale it....LOL LOL
Okay Girls and Guys,we're all here for the same reason! To cruise the air waves instead of the streets of town. To pick up freebies instead of the opposite sex.And to stay UP late downloading instead of staying OUT late. Boy am I telling my age.LOL Happy collecting and hopefully a little stitching also.
Ha ha ha, Tmbache, I remember all those things, if somebody was giving out free designs standing with the 'bad boys' around the corner lamppost, we'd be there, lol lol. Marji
Shame on you Raels, it's like you have nothing better to do! HaHaHa!!! I wouldn't do that - not much I wouldn't. ***** lr, at least collecting designs isn't fattening like chips! ***** Rika, there is definitely *nothing wrong with us* - we are completely well-adjusted and sane human beings - it's just that we all have this little weakness and *can't* stop collecting designs. It's almost like our life depends on it - and who knows maybe it does! Have fun collecting those designs girls. Here's flowers for everyone - another addiction?
Flower addiction? Here's one for everybody. Speak for yourself on that "sane" part, Ruthie, hahaha, I made the cat food comment, remember? lol lol
Once you start you cant stop, its like a bag of chips, you get one, then another and it just keeps going..after awhile you learn to take what you really like because you wind up like the crazy embroidery lady like me who has hundreds of disks, stacks of paper with color printouts, tons of files and it takes over your life..like the lady with 30 cats, and just as messy too!! but if its something you enjoy and it keeps you out of the fridge and out of trouble..WHY NOT??
Lr, I have only 6 cats, but I don't print out designs, it's still a mess, but I *love* it. I wonder how many hours it would take to actually sew out the ones I have? lol lol
M - I've got 8 cats and they have a habit of 'sleeping near me' all the time. I'm trying to download and there's a furry blockage in front of me, trying to stitch and there's a fur ball on my fabric, go to move my chair (seldom) and a tail is behind me! Nice to be loved by jeez let me sew!!!!!
I experience the same problem. It is as if the down loading is much more addictive that the sewing itself. You think there is something wrong with us? RIKA SMITH
That's why I'm here instead of at the sewing machine which was my goal today. I look at the designs and think that's so cute, surely I can use that sometime! Can't you all just picture Marji's cartoon idea.
Thanks, Clawton, I wish I could actually draw the cartoons, not just think them up! LOL
Hello Reals,
I think we all are addictes to downlaoding, if not we wouldn't meet each other so often on this site i suppose. Keep up the downlaoding and the stitching as well.
ive got the downloading part now i have to stitch them out downloading and searching for designs is addictive so ive found out my day off was spent searching and refreshing for the next hrly design lol no housework got done that day hahaha
Housework? housework? I seem to remember doing something like that ages ago....LOL
Downloading addiction? Is that why smoke is coming out of my CD drive? Ha ha ha ha. I like Mops idea of living forever just to sew out the designs. I'm thinking of a cartoon, Grim Reaper trying to pull me by the leg, I'm saying, "no, no, just one more design..." as I clutch either my sewing machine or my computer or both, LOL. Have fun, Raels, either downloading or stitching. Marji
That's so true. Now someone just has to come up with the deisgn for us to stitch.
I think most of just have to live forever to stitch out everything we downloaded. I am glad the Project pages are giving more creative ideas then the obvious, like towels and T shirts, not that they do not make nice presents, but I like something spectacular for a change now and again and I love being inspired.
Mops, do you quilt? I'm really inspired by some of the flower designs especially for quilting, gonna try that soon. M
Yes, I do. Have made quite a few babyquilts from my trial stitch outs and with a new grandchild on the way I´´ll make another one soon. But what I really want to do is make a flowery one with Cute´s quiltdesigns, this time for myself.
Yes, her quilt flowers are awecome! They almost beg to be stitched out on dupioni silk, which I can't afford just now. We do need to do for ourselves, too, don't we. Sometimes I forget that, people like the stuff so much. Did you ever do a real hat (not baseball cap) with designs? Those flowers might be cool on that, too. M
