OMGosh Monica... me too! But... mine is due to "rose bush" control. If I had the funds, I'd hire an experienced gardener to come and cut them back for the winter. :-)
wow, same poke you are having to use a bandage on?? Definately a pain-physical and inconvenience wise. Makes it so awkward when you have to have a bandade on your fingers and try to sew at the same time- Oh the woe's of a stitcher-I call it occupational hazzards-injuries done in the line of duty! Hope your finger is feeling better =O) ~linda~
I ran a machine needle through my thumb nail while I was putting in a zipper oh the pain but I just keept on sewing.had to finish the job.at that time I was sewing for the public. but I will not put a zipper in a pair of jeans or a jacjet any more.
Lenamae
Ouch Lenamae-never gone thru the nail but have definately jammed the seam ripper in the hands & fingers removing the old zippers from garments before ~linda~
Hopefully you have not lost the tip of you finger because you were talking and using the roller cutter at the same time. Bad part was that my husband warned me minutes before that.
Well, just don't be like me, I KEEP doing it! Sewing on tiny baby shirts I just can't keep from sticking my fingers up there to keep the shirt that is wrapped around the hoop and desperately trying to be sewn to the outside of the shirt out of the way.....sheesh everyone wants into the act.;)
Is it not amazing how needles can always find you? If I need a needle I always spend hours looking for one, but having lost a needle they are very good at finding me! Painful! be careful that it does not get infected!
Sorry to hear about all you injuries! OUCH! I can't give you a sewing purple heart, but here's a flower for all of you!
I stood on a sewing needle and it went in eye end first and broke off and lodged near my heal bone, I had to have a general anesthetic to get it out.
I will take a needle prick any day over the needle that went through my fingernail years ago. First I had to unscrew the needle and then get pliers to put it out. Never figured out how that happened but have been real careful ever since. Keep yourself safe and use extra caution around the needles.
wow, Capoodle. The same thing happened to me in Home Ec class ( a hundred years ago, lol). Amazing I continued with sewing after that! Take care of yourself.
