This is truly beautiful! I hav 2 sons and 2 grandsons so I always like to see others projects that are *manly* I think this is a very versatile design as far as colors or emb. designs go. I think I may kinda copy this a little if you don't mind! Some blues and turquoises and some fishing designs for my fly fisher!
Beautiful quilt. Being a fellow quilter I know the time and love that goes into each one. Keep up the good work and God Bless your son for the work he does.

dollysays, what a beautiful quilt, well done. You are obviously very proud of your son, and rightly so, and I'm so pleased for you that he returned home safely. Looks like that quilt will keep him warm when he retires to Alaska. A flower for all your work.
Very beautiful. Do let your son know that we support our troops, and good luck to him. My grandson is in the Air Force too, but he is a "newbie" - only 5-6 months. Still in training, but has decided that he want to make it a career. Keep up with the lovely quilts.
All I can say is WOW. I love the colors. Tell your son TY. He will know what for. My daughter is army and loves to hunt and fish. I may just have to try something like this, but it will not come close to as beautiful as yours.
Very nice. I hope your son realizes his retirement dream! Thanks for his service and safe return are in order. My son returned from Iraq 3 months ago where he served as a Medevac helicopter pilot, and we're grateful, also, for all those who have answered the call.
I love the way you have pieced it together. Unique! I also send my thanks for your son serving in the service especially in the current conflict.
It is very beautiful and please tell him from me, I am grateful to him for protecting my freedom and I am grateful to you for raising a son who will fight for our freedom.
