red beets and a small can of spinach for lunch. No more Wendy's, no more McDonald's fries. Looking for an alternative snack to nibble on at night. Any suggestions?

My husband and I are both diabetics, it is silly to say that that is a good thing but it does make cooking a lot easier. Less temptation. If you do'nt buy it he cannot eat it.

Welcome to my world. We are not the ones on here to be advising you. Everyone is different. On tablets most fruits and I were not a good mix. Now on insulin I can eat fruit. And don't even look at the KFC outlet, it a real NO NO. You will work it out by trial and testing. Love Marg

That's true Margaret - I think Margie should be talking to the Diabetic Association in her area. Love Chris

I see you have an answer, Nuts - almonds are especially good for you. And they even sell them in 100 calorie snacks - just about the right amount. Yogurt is good too - but with diabeties watch your fruit intake

Nuts are always a good alternative, or yoghurt with bluberries, melon or grapes. I am sure there are cracker biscuits too like Pretzels. You will need to read all the packaging information on everything though!

Good luck love and blessings Chris
