have to concentrate on the candy pockets. We have several more to make and I can not find the felt like we used. We will have to add plain white to make up the others. It is strange how fabric for the holidays changes from year to year. Florida has been so cold that the paint is taking forever to dry and we still need to get those centerpieces detailed. Plus we found out that we may need more - I am afraid that we will have to substitute something for the "toy soldiers" for there just is not enough time between tomorrow evening and Saturday afternoon. But, by 11:00 PM Saturday this will all be behind us. Then maybe I can get to some of my Christmas sewing. You would not believe what I wanted to do - I may to shop for some gifts instead. LOL

My daughter was in JR ROTC all through high school. I remember all the work getting ready for the military ball. Best of luck!

Do not fear....Christmas is almost here at all the hustle and bustle will soon be over....LOL but I am with you....it seems every year gets fuller and fuller and I thought that when I retired I would have more time for sewing and I find less and less all the time....besides I have given a few IOU's over the years and they work......I'll pray for you......

I am so sorry this ended up as a lot of work - you did have the best plans - then they thought there would not even have the event - now you are adding more - maybe you can lightly spray some glitter on some white felt - to give it a sparkle or something. Well, that might not work - if the other paint isn't drying. Good luck, dear one - I am praying for you to finish and that you enjoy the ball.
