OK, so if you saw the first photo of this project, this is the follow up.

My Sister had a candle set she had purchased several years ago, (for quite a tidy sum) and she had recently broken the gorgeous glass centre piece.

So, when I gave her the Angel candle she started telling me how upset she was about breaking her special candle and she went to get the pieces, she had left, to show me.
They were: the glass plate, the metal housing for the shade and the frosted glass shade.

Next thing I looked and she had sat the candle on the plate, put the housing and shade on top and was standing staring at the result, with tears in her eyes.

Without even knowing about her special candle I had just given it back to her, with even more meaning.

And do you know, the little battery tea light looked even better through the frosted shade. Pity I only had my phone camera and not my good camera as the pic doesn't show just how beautiful this looked.
Thanks for peaking. Hugs n roses, Meganne

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments.
My Sister phoned me this morning just to tell me how beautiful the candle looks at night, with the lights out. She is going to use her for her night light.
I am so deeply moved.
Hugs and roses to all, Meg

How special - that the two of you made one lovely and meaningful candle that each of you will treasure when looking at it - over and over and over as the years go by. So clever. *4u

Meganne this is really nice. I always look for frosted glass to put the battery type tea lights in. They look real and no one can't tell the difference from the real stuff. Just safer. I am glad you were able to give your sister her special candle back

What a wonderful story, I have several of these glass tea candles and I love them so. They are on a shelf in my kitchen sink window. How great that the candle was the perfect size for the metal ring to fit!

I'm definitely going to look for some for all my candles as the cover made the battery tea light look real.
