Hi, Great question. Although we live in South Africa, I am English so we follow the English traditions. We will be with my daughters and families, having roast turkey, ham with all the trimmings. Followed by Christmas pudding, mince pies and trifle. We always used to eat this meal on Christmas day but as my GC have got older we now have the meal on Christmas Eve when it is cooler. We let the children open their presents before we eat. We then play silly games. On Christmas day we will braai (BBQ) at my daughters farm. I hope you have a very happy Christmas. *4U. Sarah.

Ever since we have had children it has always been Christmas eve at my parents' house (my hubby's parents both died many years ago..mom when he was 13[50 years ago this week], father passed on our youngest son's 2nd birthday [29 years ago Oct]) we have ham & turkey for sandwiches, macaroni salad, pudding pie, cookies and candy. The kids always got their gifts at Grandma & Grandpa's then come home and straight to bed before Santa came to our house. Christmas morning was here at home with just the 4 of us. Now the kids are grown and gone so we still do the Christmas eve at the grands and then come here and do our Christmas before the kids head back to their own homes. The kids have Christmas day with the in-laws and hubby and I stay home or go to a movie (yep, they are open on Christmas day!). Sometimes we get each other gifts, sometimes not. This year he gets a puzzle of war airplanes and an Ohio State sweatshirt and a towel I am making with Ohio State on it (not their real logo, copyrights you know) and I am getting a blue topaz and silver bracelet! I have seen it and tried it on. He knows about the puzzle but that is all. Just being with family is the best. Hope everyone else has the joy of the season like we do.

Well we have a tree of course and we open our presents Christmas morning. Then we put the turkey in the oven then prepare all the food to get ready for dinner. My husband makes his famous turkey on the grill with real butter and beer. It is soooo good!!! Then all of our family gets together and we party! Merry Christmas to you!!! Dawn
